Im very active and run/lift 6 days a week. Ive never had this before but all of a sudden 3 days ago out of the blue i felt a burning sensation coming on and my left foot on the left side and underneath felt red hot. It went away and over the next 3 days it has come and gone about 7-8 times a day. So weird.
The only thing i can see is that red spot by my pinky toe. Any earthly idea what it could be? ive sprayed some athletes foot spray on it.

Your whole foot or just the spot? Is it your skin or your actual foot/toes?

Could be a Jones Fracture. That is what I have.

could be peroneal tendinitis, Grierson-Gopalan syndrome, or maybe Tarsal tunnel syndrome

Neuropathy is my guess. Good luck it mostly gets worse.

I had the same thing happen on the left side of my foot . You could have a clogged sweat gland. It burns randomly like crazy. A doctor can scrape it in two seconds to fix it. Once you know the spot you can fix your self by just removing a bit of skin with some nail clippers.
