Headed to Louisiana for Mardi Gras and plan on eating a butt load of king cake and cracklins.

I weighed in today 3 lbs under my goal weight for Mardi Gras. There was a big ol king Cake in the lounge. I just had a piece. It was AMAZING.

I’ll check back in in about 1 hour when I am in a sugar coma.

Is it due to fat bombs? If so that’s why I never recommend new people make them. They can cause some major overeating.

We need a fasting thread. 72 hour fast have been good to me. Down from 245 to 214 in past 5 months.

I definitely advocate fasting ICW Keto. 72hr fasts once a month if you have a lot to lose is great in addition to the daily 18/6 IF protocol.

Mardi Gras weekend killed my diet. Carb overload and overate. Went from 162 back up to 174 in four days. Mostly water rentention from eating so much salt(cracklins and crawfish) plus we did a king cake tour four days straight. Luckily I still fit in the new size 31 jeans I wear now so it is definitely food and water retention. Starting a 72 hour fast today to restart Keto.

No way. It us due to me being a super short woman which means I don't get a lot of calories allotted. And I like coffee with heavy whipping cream. I don't like meat very much so I have to combine it with cheese to get it down. A couple of eggs with cheese and two slices of bacon with coffee is half my calories for the day.

Sorry I didn’t see this post previously. The easiest way to figure out your macros is to download carb manager from the App Store or use the website on a computer. Type in your stats and select a ketogenic macro profile which is 75% fat, 30% protein, and 5% carbs (if 5% of carbs is >20g net carbs daily do not exceed 20g net carbs replace the excess with protein). Also at first don’t let the app account for exercise we can tweak the macros down the road once we get a baseline.

What are your goals?

Okay I see. What foods are extremely filling to you? You should prioritize those so you feel more satiated.

Eggs have a high leptin content which theoretically should suppress hunger, but if you’re like me I’m probably leptin resistant and eggs make me feel more hungry. I still eat them because of the vitamins, but ground beef for example makes me feel full for a long time so I eat a lot of that.
