3 weeks and 1 day(22 days) into Keto and I'm down 38 pounds. I stalled after 2 weeks and it pissed me off so I cracked down even harder...lettuce and 2 pieces of sliced chicken breast a day for me with 2 tablespoons of 0 carb dressing.

If you’re going to calorie restrict that hard just fast 72-96 hours. Fasting doesn’t lower your RMR like chronic calorie restriction does.

Issue I'm having is taking in enough calories. Meeting macros goal, haven't had a cheat day in approx 18 days. I'm super full at the end of the day so its not like I'm starving myself. Probably averaging about 1500 cals/day. Now I am a not a big guy, 5'9 140ish.

I’m trying to eat at maintenance / grow very slowly. Eating 3000-3500 calories on Keto is tough. I’m 6’2” and 185lbs.

quit beer. And I love beer. Now I drink Tito's and water. I like the way it makes me feel, but miss the taste

Yeah I miss it too. Sometimes I work my macros to be able to have a beer or 2. Try Tito’s and Perrier Lime or any of their flavors.

Ah, I miss beer...especially in the spring when golfing becomes more frequent. I've found it will get in the way of lifting so I've all but dropped drinking completely except a glass or two of dry red wine while eating out. Now, my tolerance is terrible and that makes me happy - as my body isn't use to the poison anymore. Plus, lifting has given me a bit more control and reach on my approach shots.

It’s messed me all up. I’m hitting wedges too far or probably the right distance. I’ve picked up 20 yards on my driver though.

I am doing 16/8 IF however in the AM I have some coffee with 2 tablespoons of heavy cream and a teaspoon of Kerrygold. Is that truly IF?

People will argue this to death, but anything other than water will break your fast.

I don't want to go too in depth because I'll probably get fussed at for one thing or another...I'm basically following the structure of a keto diet but I'm watching calories heavily...the first week I stayed between 1000 and 1200 calories, zero carbs, low protein and high fat. I'm assuming I was in ketosis by week 2 and really had no hunger so I did IF and stayed between 800 and 1000 calories eating between 3 pm and 7 pm. I've been following that for the last couple of weeks. I will say I have been extremely strict with carbs/sugar and water only with zero slip-ups.

Again congrats! Besides keto are you on an exercise program? I like keto because because I can eat the things I like.

Started on January 1st 2019. About 7 years ago gave up alcohol and started counting calories. I’m 6’6” and went from around 325 (I think but never really wanted to know) down to as low as 275. Settled in at 285 for the past 3-4 years, fluctuating up and down 5 lbs. Over holidays started really going to town on sugar and got up to 295. Said enough is enough and decided to try Keto. As of this morning weigh 267. Addicted to feeling better more than the weight loss. Don’t have a target per se, just want to see where this ride takes me. Learning a lot about my relationship with food and can’t wait to learn more. Thanks to all for sharing their stories!

That is great! Think of it as a life style and not a diet. Plus you can eat steak, ground beef and all kind of good things.

Definitely not thinking of it as a diet. I’m never really hungry and don’t feel like I’m missing much.

This weekend will be a very bad cheat weekend for me. Headed to Louisiana for Mardi Gras and plan on eating a butt load of king cake and cracklins.

I’ll restart Keto Sunday night when I’m done. Hopefully I don’t gain to much weight back over the weekend. I finally hit 162 earlier this week down from 200 so nearly 40 pounds lost. I will just try to walk off some of the calories and carbs I consume.
