Lactose. Dairy products, except cheeses and fermented kefir, generally have a lot of carbs from a keto perspective because of lactose, a form of sugar. Even cheeses you need to watch out for the carb content.. 4oz of full fat cottage cheese is almost 4g carbs.

Ok having trouble hitting my fat macro. I’ve been keeping my total(not net) below 10g per day and my protein is easy to hit but I am having trouble getitijf my fat in.

Are their any foods besides mct oil or butter that can get me there? Im talking usually a deficit of 20g of fat per day.

Cheese, salami, pepperoni. Don’t eat chicken eat much fattier cuts of red meat. Eat 4 eggs with 4 tablespoons of mayo. You have plenty of room with the low amount of carbs you eat to work some cheese in.

Here’s an egg casserole recipe I use that’s crazy high in fat...just mix all these ingredients and bake at 350 for 40min or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Here’s what I call Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole. Very easy just cook the bacon and ground beef and add to the other ingredients and bake until done...

What adds so much sugar? If I just use normal pork sausage does that remove the sugar? Trying to cut out all sugars due to my diabetes

Heavy whipping cream. Its really not that much though.

I see you were talking about the top recipe. That one is prob getting most of the sugar from the cottage cheese.

Do you like blue cheese? 2 tbsp of Kraft chunky blue cheese dressing is:

1.4g carbs
0.1g protein
14.8g fat

Its helped me balance out my fat/protein ratio a few times.

I like the Ken’s steakhouse over the Kraft. Macros are about the same.

On a side note, my scale says I’m down 12lbs from Monday morning. Is that normal?

I’m guessing that’s a lot of water weight, bloating, and intestinal track is cleaned out. This was week 1. I don’t anticipate doing that ever week.

Most bottled blue cheese dressing tastes like crap compared to homemade. It's easy as hell too. I highly recommend making your own

That’s a lot for one week but not unheard of. Of course the vast majority is water weight.

Just don’t get discouraged when the week over week weight loss isn’t as profound. Weight loss is not linear.

The only blue cheese I like is Bob’s, especially their Roquefort. Otherwise you are correct homemade always tastes better.

Can't really account for the macros if you do this, but higher end restaurants with killer blue cheese dressing will often sell you it a quart at a time. I've done this with Ruth's Chris blue cheese dressing, as well as Chimes.

That and I’ve always had intestinal problems. I’m cleaned out right now. I feel amazing.

Yeah, I know. It would be nice to drop 10 a week though. I’m in for the long haul though. I can’t get over how much I am enjoying what I eat, the extra energy, and my joint pain is gone. Not filled but gone. I haven’t felt this good ever.

Since starting keto I've been less hungry throughout the day. I ate Friday and then didnt eat again til late last night (eggs and sausage).

Is there anything negative about doing OMAD? I'm talking about staying keto friendly. If I'm shooting for weight loss is this alright? Does it slow down metabolism?

I've been tracking macros on CM and trying to meet the requirements... but as long as I try to stay around 5c/25p/70f does it matter if I just do it on a smaller scale with OMAD?

Do y'all have any recommendations for a electrolyte drink mix that comes in a single-serving size; like a small packet you mix with a glass of water? Looking for something easy to mix at work.

Go to Whole Foods. There is a o365 electrolyte mix in white packets. I bought a big pack of them and use them at work.

OMAD is what I do pretty much even at maintenance or trying to lean gain. It doesn’t slow down your metabolism. In fact there are a ton of studies that have shown that IF does not lower your RMR as compared to chronic deficit dieting.

My suggestion would be to take the ketoaid mix in my OP and put it into individual baggies for work. Otherwise Cole has made his snake juice available in individual packets now on Amazon...

Lastly is zip fizz. I’ve used it in the past but it does have artificial sweeteners and some carbs. It’s tastes great though. The citrus flavor Atleast.

So should I boost my caloric intake during the OMAD while trying to maintain macros? Is there anything special I should know?
