8 days in, doing well.

One question, is there any Keto friendly sweetener that doesn’t taste absolutely terrible?

Skule whats your take on Swerve?

I have a bag of it. Besides stevia and monk fruit it’s the only sweetener I use.

Any remedies for keto breath. Today is the first day I can really notice it.

I’ve never had the issue. I’ve heard it relates to hydration. Are you drinking enough water / ketoaid?

Depends on what terrible is to you.

1. Stevia - has a weird aftertaste if you use too much
2. Monk fruit - not super sweet
3. Swerve - can have a menthol type taste if you use too much

I think I’ve been down the last couple of days. I’ll double down on water. I can’t drink that ketoaid you have on the first page. I just can’t get it down. I drink power aid zero.

Add some of the stevia sweetened Mio.

I’ve tried this, and I honestly cannot taste it in my coffee. Sweet if you just put it straight to your tongue to taste, but zero sweetness to me in something.

ETA: Down 9.6 pounds since 1/2.

I've just been putting a teaspoon of coconut oil in my coffee.

I prefer MCT Oil. The brand I use has a subtle vanilla taste.

Whipped cream is an easy bet if you need something like coffee sweetened.

I really like the Hershey's whipped cream. The Reese's not so much. Good way to get some sweetness/flavor for minimum carb intake.

Is the pay version of the CarbManager app worth it?

I’ve been using it for almost a year and I still have the free version. Unless you want meal ideas no reason I can see to go premium.

that was the main reason, meal ideas. I'll give it a few weeks before i buy.

i did atkins in the early 00's w/ much success but with a very strict & limited menu. But with the information available today online, the only thing i haven't been able to replace with keto-friendly is gumbo.

also, ordered some monk fruit sweetner so we'll see how it is...

Thanks for your help...

So, keto rash is a thing. I didn’t know that until today. It’s really great.

FTR I’ve never had a rash in my life. I’m not even allergic to poison ivy. This sucks. It’s all over my belly. I can either start eating carbs again or suffer for a week or 2. FML

My sisters are NPs. They took a look at it. They said unless I randomly developed an allergy to something I rubbed on my stomach, that has to be it. Cortisone and cold packs.

I’m doing too well in this diet to give up. I’m just going to gut through it.

You could just eat clean and not do keto. I'm on the meat and green vegetable when I want them diet. I eat more chicken than anything.
