So getting closer to the end of the year and i wanted to list some supps that you should be running imo. Almost everyone should be running these to be healthier. It should go without saying I believe everyone should be lifting or doing some form of resistance training, should be walking min of 30 min of days not training and cleaning up your diet. Also no secret that i beleive if you are not making money from your body, you shouldnt be using PEDs outside of legitimate TRT or HRT from the doctor, this is especially true of those that have health issues or elevated markers. Most of these Dante Trudal has talked about in the past.

Overall for diet i do like limiting carbs somewhat but if you are not into that, i do suggest Stan Efferings vertical diet. I also recommend the macrofactor app if you are looking for a tracking app.

Blood Pressure- if you are even slightly elevated, i suggest you get on this. It works freaking awesome. Heart disease is still the #1 killer in the US and high BP can lead to a heart attck.

1) Carditone- Stuff works awesome. Start with 1 cap morning, 1 at night. Within 2 weeks you will find yourself in that 120/80 range max. after you get it where you want it, you can try cutting back to 1 cap per day. If you are 40 or older, you absolutely should be on this. DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS SUPP!!! I use it myself and took my bp down from 130/90 to where i am now in the 115/75 range most days.

Cholesterol- - We get post daily here on how to correct this or should i get on a statin etc.....again this is serious shite and again..first thing is start lifting, start walking and clean up the diet. Some may disagree with me here, but i find cutting out processed foods and limiting carbs to pre and mainly post workout works wonders here or just limiting carbs overall and keep the fat content in the meet you eat to healthier fats aka no dirty keto .

1) Citrus Bergamot- 1000mg morning 1000mg night, it will (almost across the board with everyone) lower LDL/Trigs and raise HDL up to 40%)

2) Berberine-- 500mg morning and 500mg night. You can even go higher and take 1 cap 20-30 min before any meal containing carbs. Warning, it will be bitter but it will lower your LDL.

3) Krill Oil- 2500mg (2 caps) morning and night

4) add in a very very high quality fish oil with vit D3 if you would like Defranco's Omega D3

Blood Clot/Strokes- This is one of the supplements I beleive everyone over 40 should be taking, especially in the covid era and especially those of us who did get the vaccine.

1) nattokinase- been shown in studdies that nattokinase, compared to a statin, Nattokinase regressed plaque in blood vessels by 36.6 percent compared to a statins 11.5%. Take 1 pill morning and night due to half life.

Those are my big ones and i do feel they are very important for most people as most 35 and older have some form of heart/cholestrol issues. I am of the belief that everyone should have a calcium score screening heart test done along with monitoring Cholesterol, BP and C-Reactive Protein screeening.

here are some others that I do feel help people with certain issues

Kidney issues- Astragalus- try vitamin shop brand- 500mg- 4-6 caps morning and night. Even got 2 studies of people using 15-20g per day and getting raises in GFR scores of 20-40 points which is nothing short of amazing. Dante's talk on this

Low Free Test- Boron- Now brand- 6mg morning and night. not dose dependent over that amount.

Cardiomyopathy/enlarged heart- Curcumin - 800mg morning and night. This also is a huge supplement to take daily for heart health, reduces cancer risk, inflamation, joint health etc. Highly recommend.

ok if you have had cholesterol problems for a while or have plaque build up i highly suggest the following combo daily for next 8-12 months. here is a convo where Dante links all of the studies LINK

#1-Vit K(super k complex) - LINK- take 2-3 caps in the morning and 2-3 at night.

#2- 100% pure pomegrante juice- not from concentrate- LINK i also think trader joes has some for much cheaper. It must be 100% juice and not from concentrate

quote:

been shown to inhibit plaque and scavenge plaque from the arteries. What sucks is I usually like to link pubmed studies but its really not feasible here on IG....so just put Pomegranate and plaque into google and you will see some info. There are studies showing plaque reductions at 13%, 22%, 26% and 35% at months 3 then 6 then 9 then 12 which is beyond remarkable.

4-8 oz everyday

here are a couple studies
LINK
LINK

Hemocrit- go give blood is going to be the #1 thing and reducing red meat consumption would be #3, but if you are over 60 or even 58-59 then you may want to look at IP-6. IP-6 is also a great defense against colon and rectal cancer. IP-6- 1 pill morning, 1 at night

BPH/Prostate Cancer/prostate hyperplasia-

1) Cialis- works great for BPH and has other benifits but understand if you are at risk for skin cancer, cialis can make that worse

2) Curcumim- we spoke about this earlier

3) Pumpkin seed oil

4) Pycnogenol- this is a supplement that has tons of heart and kidney benifits

5) Pygeum

6) ECCG

otehr cancers-( this going way down the rabbit hole but they have other benifits too)

Boswellia Serrata- also pancreatic and brain cancer
Apigenin- also skin cancer and other cancers
Quercetin- helps with allergies too
Astaxanthin- powerful antioxidant

if you are really having BPH issues....throw the kitchen sink at it and use all of the above blus the berberine

if you are having issues with blood flow in your legs(this happens in women more than man imo)- then look at horse chestnut- 50-100mg morning and night

So for those of you that are 100% natural and looking for an edge on how to get stronger and putting on muscle outside of training and diet discussions I recommend the following

1) Creatine- most researched supplement in the world, also has health benefits-5g daily
2) SNS GlycoPhase- Glucose Disposal agent- take with carb meals
3) SNS- X-Gels - Arachidonic Acid
4) True Nutrition- The lab- T-sterone and A-Bolic

2 other possible- turkesterone and ecdysterone. You will have to research these.

If looking for something more…mk677 will help a lot with growth. It will raise your HGH levels and considered a PED. But it will not down regulate your gh receptors and they will come back to normal quickly.

Good stuff as usual. A couple of questions:

1) What do you think of aged garlic extract for blood pressure?

2) Any side effects with Carditone (liver, kidney function, etc)?

3) Could Carditone be used in conjunction with citrulline malate or would those two combined cause blood pressure to drop too low?

I have not researched it in a long time so I can't comment intelligently, ill try and look Friday at some things

No real side effects, and 100% none of those you mentioned

No issue on combining them. It won't cause it to drop too low.

Reminds me of back in the dawn of H&F board with all the enthusiasm and how-tos. I abandoned it because we don’t get stickies in here and every joe blow gonna ask those questions even if it’s two topics down

Also, what’s your salary at the supplement company? Looking to get paid big bucks.

Ha I wish.

I don't take all of these as I don't have that many health issues but I wanted to consolidate everything in one place as a way to refer people too

SNS- X-Gels

Looks like they tried to take all the console game systems and merged into one.

I only really take creatine and I'm pretty bad about taking that.

Any advice on finding good quality supplement companies? I know there's a few websites where you can lookup 3rd party testing but can't remember them. I've been trying to find a good one for saw palmetto

Any issues with this one? I don’t know if I have low free test but I wouldn’t mind having more. Could I get in trouble with this?

Jarrow is a good brand, life extension is good, true nutrition is a good brand, SNS is good, Defrancos is good

there are others but alot depends on the compound. Key is no proprietary blends and 3rd party testing.

so what are you trying to use Saw Palmetto for? is it just overall PSA numbers? Preventative?

I guess you could say preventative. Started losing some hair recently and while I'd like to keep it, I don't care enough to risk the side effects of all the bs out there. I read that hair loss could be a sign of an enlarging prostate (still young, haven't had mine checked) and that saw palmetto can help. So I figured that would be a low-risk way to hopefully help the hair issue and at the same time address any potential prostate issues that may be occurring.

then use one of the two

curcumim would be the one i would go with as it has lots of other benifits....i mean daily cialis does too but also can come with some side effects as a mentioned. Curcumim is the goto in your case with zero sides and lots and lots of benifits as i mentioned in the OP

Ordered a bottle or curcumin this morning. Thanks for the tip. I'm horny enough as it is I don't think I could get through a work day taking cialis everyday

Also, assuming the amounts of EPA and DHA are the same, what is the advantage of Krill oil over fish oil?

they are similar but the biggest thing is risk of oxidation vs fish oil. I suggest both a krill oil supp and a quality fish oil with vitamin D.

below are a bunch of studies that show krill oil is more effective...BUT...that is only because its more effecient dose for dose. when normalized
quote:

The lipid-modifying effects of krill oil and fish oil do not differ. The reduction in triglycerides depends on the dose of n-3 fatty acids consumed.
LINK

also
quote:

Two human studies – one postprandial study and one intervention study – used the same amount of EPA and DHA from KO or FO, and they both showed that the bioavailability of EPA and DHA from KO seems to be higher than that from FO. Limited effects of KO and FO on lipids and inflammatory markers in human and animal studies were reported. Gene expression data from animal studies showed that FO upregulated the cholesterol synthesis pathway, which was the opposite of the effect mediated by KO. KO also regulated far more metabolic pathways than FO, which may indicate different biological effects of KO and FO.

LINK

quote:

Although krill oil had a more beneficial effect on blood glucose than fish, fish is also a good source of other health-beneficial nutrients, including vitamin D.

LINK

quote:

The primary finding of the present study was that plasma concentrations of EPA, DPA, and DHA increased significantly in both the krill oil and fish oil groups compared with the control group following daily supplementation for 7 weeks. There was no statistically significant difference between these two groups in the levels of the increases in EPA and DHA. Since the subjects in the krill oil group received 62.8% of the total amount of n-3 PUFAs received by the subjects in the fish oil group, these findings indicate that the bioavailability of n-3 PUFAs from krill oil (mainly PL) is as, or possibly more, efficient as n-3 PUFA from fish oil (TG). This supports the results of a previous study with krill oil and menhaden oil in humans

LINK

quote:

By using gene expression profiling in the small intestine, we provide evidence that Omega-3 supplemented as PLs from krill oil are more effective than Omega-3 administered at the same dose as re-esterified TAG in terms of effects on intestinal gene expression, while also enhancing mitochondrial ß-oxidation of FAs. Despite the fact that both forms of Omega-3 supplementation affected pathways involved in ?-oxidation, krill oil supplementation had more pronounced effects on gene expression and its effect was much broader in terms of the number of pathways affected. This effect of krill oil was linked to improved bioavailability of Omega-3, primarily EPA, and may be responsible for superior metabolic effects of marine PLs, especially when the reduction of hepatic steatosis and improved glucose tolerance are concerned. Thus, our results point to the small intestine and gut-mesenteric WAT-liver interaction as one of the major targets of krill oil administration.

LINK

quote:

The changes in the hepatic sphingolipids and 20:4 fatty acid levels were greater in the KO compared to the FO fed mice, and are consistent with a hypothesis that krill oil will have a stronger anti-inflammatory action and enhances insulin sensitivity more potently than fish oil.
