Today is day 9 with basically no carbs for me outside of the little bit you get from veggies. Not exactly trying to go full Keto bc such high fat intake doesn’t exactly sound appealing to me but I have up’d my fat intake to somewhere around 60% of my diet with another 30-35% coming from protein and the other 5-10% carbs.
So basically it’s been no sugar, grains of any sort or below ground veggies. I’m sure I’m running at a caloric deficit just from cutting all that out.
Day 3-4 were the worst. Trouble sleeping, cravings, fogginess in the head but since then my body seems to be completely over it. I have more energy and just a better overall mental state. I love it.
I’m 6’2”. Was 239 when I started and I’m down a full 9 lbs as of this morning. About a pound a day. I know most of it is water weight starting out but im excited about what I can do after 8-10 weeks. Goal is to get down to 205 by July.
I’ve started working out everyday with more cardio and couple classes at Orange Theory every week.

In my experience the first 10 ponds of it is usually water weight.

Good luck. Your goal will not be easy but is attainable. IF could help in your program but I won’t beat that horse.

That’s great bc I wanted to lose that too

I have been low carb for years. My Cholestrol shot up. My compromise was lean protein and a ton of veggie fat (nuts, advacoto, etc) I also IF from 6 pm to noon the next day.

The downside is that you will gain 10 pounds within days of going off keto

Sounds more like an Atkins variation to me. I’m the same way. I like keto, but when you get obsessed with the fat consumption more so than the protein idk. As long as you are satiated, you’re good IMO. I’m more 50% protein, 40% fats right now.
Geez, that syntax is horrible.
