The good part about the 6pm Friday class is it's always empty. Sometimes it's literally just my wife and I. Then coach can pay a lot of attention to form and help give advice.

ETA

I wore the new GCF shirt and left my first 'hard working American' sweat angel

I've suffered through more rap in the last 7 months than the rest of my life combined. Not sure who has worse taste in music, my wife or our coaches.

I have learned that I cannot predict how I'll do based upon a glance at the board. Today looked innocent enough. I almost threw up.

I couldn't be a member there. I think ours might be Crossfit lite.

Hell yeah it was a grinder.

During the lunges my arms started giving way to the weight but Patrick was watching me and pushing me so I literally rested the weight on my head once just to catch a couple of breaths .

dont confuse volume w diffficulty. I’d much rather run through all those diff movements than a focused couplet or triplet.

You are right though, You won’t see our programming do that type of workout very often.

Yeah the WODs with billion of movements seem to be more about your ability to pace, ability to breathe properly, and mental toughness... Not necessary a high difficulty/intensity level.

Tomorrow is gonna hurt too:

Had one today that was supposed to be a deload.......it absolutely kicked my arse. I couldn’t string together my butterfly C2B and couldn’t do my dubs for shite. Both of which I usually don’t have problems with.

5 rounds

5T2B
10C2B
20 dubs
5 burpees
10 second hanging Lsit
20 dubs

Yesterday was as close as I've ever come to walking away yet finishing. Going from burpees to wall balls just sucks donkeys after a calorie row. I think I'm fighting a minor cold/virus, and just have less than my normal terrible stamina. Even had to abort my last set of front squats. Bit off more than I could chew.

That’s a good looking wod....Bet the row won’t take as long as you think it will.

What do you mean?

My gym follows the icon athlete program and this is a de-load week before the open.
