I never did x3, is it as intense as the original?
I haven't done it either, but I've got a Beachbody on demand subscription so I've done the MMX workout. It's like the Kenpo workout in the original, but shorter and much more intense.
From what I've heard, the workouts are all 30 minutes instead of an hour and every bit as intense as the original if not more.
30 minute Yoga instead of 90 sounds very appealing, fricking hate Yoga-X.

X3 is pretty good. The Challenge is pretty awesome. Isometrix is a great workout. The yoga vid sucks, but X2 Yoga is one of the best vids out there imo.

I probably won't do X2, I don't want to have all that equipment added to my already cramped workout room.
I might do the Yoga, how does it compare to Yoga X1?

It's a pretty decent workout, though not as intense or boring as the original. I was doing p90x3 for a few weeks until I had a crazy back spasm (probably from not stretching properly), and the yoga was one of the workouts I looked forward to most. Also, I've got a version that mute's Tony most of the time so that was a lot nicer than the 90 minute version I had where I couldn't.

What version mutes his voice? I would love to do his programs but I CANNOT tolerate him. I've tried turning the volume down, but it's a PITA -- not to mention bad for your neck -- to have to keep looking up to see what's next.

Hey V&S how did you build endurance after your back injury? Been dealing with a bad back for years and just had a spinal cord stimulator implanted a month ago. Unfortunately the upper incision got infected but I want to start planning now

Sorry to hear that brother. I was able to avoid surgery, thank God. Honestly, the only thing I did was walk, a lot, and regular visits to the chiropractor. It took time, but eventually I was able to build up enough strength to start getting on the stationary bike and then start doing low impact core exercises like planks and bird dogs.
For now, anything other than walking or at most, low impact like a stationary bike, is all you should do. And some daily stretching is pretty much mandatory for recovery.
My back issues got worse because I stayed inactive and ate a bunch of shite for a few years. DON'T DO THAT. The atrophy in my hips and legs made it worse. My back only started improving when I started making myself get up and walk every day. Even if it's only for 10 minutes, do something to keep the body moving.
Other than that, ice, Epsom salt baths, and biofreeze.
What's the next step for your incision and the infection? Are you gonna have to get cut again?

Thanks for the good information. They put me on antibiotics for now. Hopefully it clears up.

I tried to do P90X in college with my roommate when I was fat, smoking and drinking all the time. I failed miserably.
I've since gotten it together and have been wanting to shake up my routine, maybe I will give it a shot. I'm pretty sure I can handle it now.
Is it available free anywhere?

I'm sure there's some pirate site out there, or you could stop being a cheap arse and just get Beachbody On Demand.

My wife has a very bad case of sciatica. As long as she’s actively exercising, it stays away.

Sounds like we were roommates.

Subbed in Yoga X3 today, yeah, I'll definitely be doing this one for the rest of the program.

Started phase 2 today. Had to extend recovery week by 4 days because I was stuck out of town with no access to dumbbells heavier than 10s, so I did 2 extra Core Syn days and extra Kenpo Cardio+.
Probably shouldn't have done Core Syn on Friday, because today was Chest, Shoulders and Triceps. I CAN'T WIPE MY OWN arse NOW
frick YOU TONY
