227 down from my highest I have ever been of 250.
Had my body fat checked in Jan 20%-224# today 227# 16% body fat (ultrasound testing) plan to get a scan for more accurate but definitely was happy to see a progression.
Been eating oatmeal and protein powder for breakfast. Protein shake for lunch and salad with lean protein for most suppers. Eat whatever I want somewhat on weekends. No fast food in over a year.
HIT training and calisthenics 4-5 days a week and walking and running as well.
Feel better than I have ever felt with more energy and even less aches and pains and my annual physical last month showed a 70point reduction in my cholesterol levels from last year.
48yrs old and trying to set myself up for hitting 50 and hopefully having a good quality of life for my second half.

187.2 this morning. been strict as frick lately. some of this is water weight for sure. after this week baseball is pretty much done other than tryouts so going to be hitting it stupid hard. prolyl just do filling out the hoodie. plus KB walks and lots of abs.

well, I had the end of the season to baseball this weekend. Actually, in the last two weeks, between the two kids and their tournaments, a total of 23 games between Lafayette and Lake Charles the wife and I had to do. We had to split up with her taking the ones in Lafayette and me driving back and forth, ended up making 20 of the 23 games. SO....I say that to kind of paint the picture of how chaotic things have been
I did weigh in at 185 and some change friday...had some carbs on saturday and sunday so sitting at 188 this morning. a little over 4 weeks until I leave for vacation.
gonna start filling out the hoodie tonight but also adding in lots of heavy carries. Lots of overhead and farmers, going to end every session with them. Also going to add the banded 21 lateral raises
will be doing abs in the morning before work with 30 min of light cardio too. really cranking on this.

Hello friends, it's been a while.
I started up at Iron Tribe back in February, which is Crossfit-y. Specifically their "power" class, which is "functional fitness". I like it. It's like you take the intensity of Crossfit and dial it back by like the last 5%, and the coaches feel really supportive and friendly.
I've still been struggling with weight, even gaining again. I got back up to 285. I've been feeling really defeated, and finally coming to the acceptance that I just don't seem to have the mental discipline to get to where I want on my own. I used to, but it just isn't there anymore. I started considering paying out of pocket for semaglutide, and turns out a dear friend of mine that is a GP also works with compound pharmacies and prescribes Semaglutide and Terzepatide.
So, I've accepted that and started on semaglutide 2 weeks ago. $250/m for 4 1mg doses, though I am titrating up so this first round will last a little longer.
Just two weeks in, on a .5mg dose of semaglutide, and it feels already like i have a fighting chance again. The food noise is cut in half or more; I can be hungry and not want feel I'm going to fall apart. I don't finish all of the food on my plate 50% of the time. I don't always have that "fresh hot tortilla chips in front of me" feeling for every food around me all the time. I don't feel hopeless, and it feels like the things I do, like meal prepping, meal planning, exercising.. pay off. Hell, the other day i simply forgot to eat breakfast. Wasn't hungry and didn't have food on the brain. Never in a million years would I have thought that'd be me.
The scale is moving; I was 277.8 this morning, which is about 3 pounds over the last 2 weeks. I plan to keep the dose as low as possible, so if I continue to feel great and have success, I'll keep a low dose. I'm not in a rush. Emphasis on keeping muscle.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Stick with it bro. Put forth the effort and the GLPs will work. Fact. I hate to see you spending that much money though. We can find you a year worth of sema for that price ordering from overseas.
And if it were me, I’d jump on tirz over sema. Works better and fewer side effects. I’ve lost ridiculous weight on tirz since March 2023.

I thought about it, but my friend told me terz was much more expensive, so I wanted to find the minimal dose that helps me. Between Iron Tribe and the sema, it's $500/mo for my health. My health is worth it, but if I can cut down that GLP1 cost, that'd be awesome. I pay the gym price because I've found the class structure really helps me stay consistent.

That's nuts. I guess I better look into that. It feels skeezy, but I should consider it now that I'm actually doing it. I don't mix it myself, but I do have the heroin-looking needles already
Do you need to email me a recommended site?

biggest change has been....every two weeks i order 15 lbs of meat from just meats and use that as my main supplement during the day along with fairlife protein shakes to make my life easier
now that baseball season is over, been grilling a steak with some grilled veggies or grilling a big chicken breast or grabbing one of the just meats packs
so all in all been this
7am- fairlife- 42g protein

12ish- 1/2 lbs of meat, one of the just meat packs- ~70g protein
3ish- fairlife- 42g protein
6ish- 12-16oz of some form of meat and veggies
been working pretty good. hit atleast 8k steps every day the last 2 weeks but 1 and averaged will over 8k. lifting 3-4 times a week
been steadly losing, when im done with the cut, ill make a post on the exact protocol been using

listen to uncle jack, get on the discord.
even with insurance covering cost, i can get a years worth of test from same place he is getting the tirz and sema for the same price as a month from pharmacy
it is 3rd party tested multiple times and i can send a vial in at anytime and be reimbursed immediately no matter the result of the test. if it test bad, they replace it.
same source, replacing a huge group buy order for everyone because the tirz only tested at 97% purity even though the mg was spot on and lab confirmed it was degragation due to heat, more than likely during shipping. source still replacing it all even though it is perfectly fine.
i get my peptides from there now cause its way cheaper than empower and empower doesnt take insurance. same quality and all 3rd party tested by source and multiple blind samples sent in by customers for testing. all test out pretty much perfect everytime
reason is because source is doing their own in house testing and using third party testing to verify before batch goes public for sale.

I've been falling down the rabbit hole since this morning and yeah, i know it feels shady, but really it feels like getting ripped off to not do it. It seems really easy to do, so these pharmacies are basically ripping people off.

well they have to be able to pay for the R&D that went in to this, advertising, all kinds of other things.
