It’s best to just lose all control sometimes. In his situation I would recommend to just binge to make him happy. Then when he gets really obese again it will just be tons of motivation to get back at it, gym and eat better etc. Going back and forth from obese to small, year to year etc. is great for motivation but also good for your body so it doesn’t get used to the same thing every day.

no, it isn’t. That’s how binge eating habits form and all of a sudden, you’re 2 weeks into stuffing your face and not exercising

But if you keep getting fat over and over it gives you motivation to get healthy again

3.5 weeks after hitting goal weight I've gradually increased calories by about 300-400 per day and maintained, maybe dropped another lb. I feel leaner and also seems like I'm eating a lot more from what I'm used to which is fun. Also dropped some extra cardio/walking.

Finally feel confident maintaining, next phase coming up starting next week. Trying to do this right for the long haul.

That's the plan. There are a few things I've been allowing in my diet that Im going to cut completely. I gave myself cheat meals and a few beers on the weekend. That'll all go and I think I can keep losing.

It just sucks

No, not yet. I was just really getting rehab done. Pushups daily and using 100 push up plan 3 days a week.

Walking daily, and running 3 days a week. Well, the goal was 3 days a week using couch 2 5K

Now, it's back to rehab mode.

Oh yeah, that’s very doable for you. I’ve been logging my meals and they end up around 2100 calories per day; 250 protein, 179 carbs and 25 fat.

I’m not feeling starving at all and way better digestion, plus that’s enough protein and carbs for my workouts

yea should be. im trying to keep my deficit small cause trying to still gain strength during and im trying a very slow approach to this cut. trying to be 175-177 by end of june

so figure 187ish- start of year

180ish end of april

175-177 end of june

should put me around 8% on an inbody scan

im keeping protein around 250 and fats higher as i prefer fattier cuts of meet. so carbs are around 50g or so right now, fats around 65g so i can have steak and stuff. calories in that 1800 range during the week.

weekends i am allowing myself to go up on carbs some and calories some but trying to be steady. with family and kids though trying to give myself little wiggle room on weekends. Wife likes to have date nights and sometimes we are out of town for kids sports that makes this really hard. especially during the spring.

thats good macros for you. i dunno how you do it though with that low of fat. but stay on that as long as you can as that is almost perfect macros for traditional bodybuilding cut. if you find yourself feeling like a big steak you could easily give your self an extra 35g fat by lowering your protein to 200g and carbs 150 those days and still be in really good shape.

Well, my plan seems to be working

232/215.0/200 Every pound is a new PR
17lbs since the start of the school year!

I did get some results back. Nothing is broken, so I can start back slow as much as I can tolerate with exercise. Im going to start with push ups and yoga. Hopefully in a month or so I can start lifting light.

I hear you on the meals with family and dates. I almost feel obligated to go off plan when I’m around other people so I’m just trying to avoid socializing for the next 4 weeks

Man, my strength on chest exercises has been going down during the cut, but I’m keeping my size and fullness at least. It could be the lack of fats / drying out is messing with my joints but not sure. I’m dealing with some right shoulder soreness

As far as feelings of satiety or energy, I’m totally fine though. That could be I’m just used to this sort of diet because it’s how I built my physique over the years. Those Jay cutler DVD’s!

And throwing 2 tbsp of pbfit peanut butter in my 2 shakes per day kills any cravings for desserts or sweets

I held it together last week. I didn't have a good food or workout week, but I didn't slide backwards. I'm back on it today.
