Thanks to Covid, I am expecting big things for 2022 in weight loss.

Short version Delta jacked up my smell long term it seems and have not ate fried foods since July. Fried foods smell and taste disgusting.

Good news from that - BP is down, cholesterol is down and I finished 2021 15 lbs lighter.

Hoping to drop another 20-25 lbs over 2022.

I thought the idea of never having french fries would suck, but dang it is worth it now

Still fasted. Couple cups of coffee so far. May just push through until dinner time and load up on chicken breast and veggies.

Pretty tough day, but hoping I can get a little TRX workout in or something later on.

Workout was a monster today

5 rounds:
5 BB thrusters - I did 115lb
10 lateral burpee over bar ( I did standard burpees)
200m row
2:30 rest

Last round I didn't even finish all reps. Failed after 3 thrusters. 7 burpees. Then sprinted 200m row

I think I blacked out after I was done. I laid on the ground to catch my breath and before I knew what was going on, coach was standing over me and making sure I was OK. Didn't know where sound was coming from, looked around until I found coach. That shite was scary

After dealing with a couple years of substantial depression and the associated 60 lbs of fat that I gained, I am strictly in weight loss mode. To that end I am fasting all day and only eating for a few hours at night. I have been at it a few weeks and it seems sustainable for the most part. Between that and walking for an hour a day I should be able to consistently lose fat.

I will get back into the gym eventually. I was inching towards the 1000 lb. club and felt amazing before this slide. But frankly, I am not even if good enough cardiovascular shape to lift right now.

I am part of that "horrible diet over the holidays" club and finding myself needing to lose some weight. My last inbody scan had me at 23.4% bf (yes, I'm a fatty) and needing to lose around 25ish lbs of body fat which would put me around 250.

Stats:
Weight 276.8
SMM: 122.1
BFM: 64.8

I guess my question would be do I start the cutting now in order to lose the fast or do I get back into lifting heavy until about March then join the masses in shedding body fat?

Starting now lose 25 lbs over 21 weeks
Start in March lose 25 lbs over 13 weeks

Starting Weight Nov ‘21 - 190 lbs
Goal Apr ‘22 - 155 lbs

Got thru the holidays and currently 185 lbs. Doing a loose version of Keto which I know works for me just need to stick with it.

Let’s do this, good luck to all.

Best thing is to start now and just go at it slow and lift hard as frick and try snd gain as much as possible.

I did good on my diet today, even saved enough room to have a bowl of cereal for the bball game. I'm not lifting tonight so I can watch the game.

Yeah I am thinking that makes more sense rather than going all out on a hardcore "cutting" plan. I did keto a couple years back and lost like 40 lbs but my body composition was still nearly the same as when I had started, don't want that again.

I've been wanting to hit this milestone for about 6 months now. I probably have the strength to do it now, but my lifting partner took a 6 week hiatus for the holidays.
He started back with me this week, so maybe one week soon...Currently, these are my numbers:

Bench: 275 for three reps
Squat: 295 for two reps
Deadlift: 295 for two reps.

All those are on my 4th or 5th sets of those lifts.

I'm almost positive, based on those numbers, I can hit 305 on the bench, and 315 on both squats and deads. But that still leaves me 65lbs to make up somewhere.

My daughter (and I) loves those. Its tough for me to not eat at least a handful when she snacks on them

Well, 2021 was a horrible year for me. Luckily, I quit my shitty job and am in a great place now!

Monday, I jumped on the scale, and it was terrible. I gained 28lbs in the past 1.5 years.

Good news, I know how to get rid of it all and am back on the wagon this week.

Running/walking works for me. I restarted C25K and began the 100 push ups program. I walk 3-4 miles on my non running days.

Keto works insanely well for me, so back on that and logging in carb manager. My wife is on board which helps. Also, my closest coworker, "work wife", is also on board. I have tons of support and will knock this out in no time.

Goals- Drop the re-added 28 by Easter. That's roughly 14 weeks away. Then, drop the last 20 I need to lose. So, roughly 50 lbs this year. That's 1 lb per week which is easy enough, but I am setting my sights on July 4.

If your grip is good you should be able to make up a lot of that on your DL.

Time to get to work, Coach! Let's go.
