No, not fun at all. However, keto eliminates my IBS-C issues, but it gets really bad before it gets better. I just decided to kick start everything. The short term discomfort was worth it.

Had a good diet day yesterday, spent majority of the day on the boat while only drinking water. Snacked on almonds and pork rinds then had a salad before bed. 100% I ran up a pretty good deficit in terms of calories.

figured i would post inbody scan in here too cause a lot of people dont look at other thread. I have been working my arse off and got some results to show for it.

got an inbody done today again. Had really good progress

Weight-

12/31- 204.8
3/11- 195.2

down 9.6 lbs

Body fat mass-

12/31- 51.6
3/11- 39.6

down 12 lbs

Dry Lean mass-

12/31- 41.7
3/11- 42.6

up 0.9 lbs

SMM-

12/31- 88.4
3/11- 90.4

up 2 lbs

Body fat Percentage-

12/31- 25.1
3/11- 20.3

down 4.8% and 7.3lbs of fat in the trunk which is huge

overall very happy with the results as even with water down my lean body mass was up. trying to get SMM back above 95lbs by the end of the year and get below 10% by july. will keep working the greyskull lp aesthetics template and will slowly start adding in the conditioing sessions.

3/11 scan

Holding steady at 174 from my starting weight of 194 end of December. Been lifting for 2.5 weeks since getting cleared by the doc (just dumbells) but got 5 lifts in this week and 5 walks. Can definitely see some muscle mass coming back. Diet has been consistent but with a bit more protein now and more at maintenance level then deficit.

238/225/205 6'4"
Waist 38.5"

Only down a pound this week, but belts are 2 holes smaller than a few weeks ago and people are commenting on the weight loss. So still moving in right direction.

I do think I need to pay more attention to waist circumference than weight for a while though.

Checking in:
I was fairly good this weekend. We had a wedding, so lots of food that is not on my diet. I didn't eat all that much, just tasted a few things. I had a few beers. However, I exercised everyday this weekend. I weighed in today.
258/248/220.

I can feel some bloat from the weekend, but not terrible. I imagine Ill be at 246 or lower by Friday. My calendar is empty for the next 2 weeks (FINALLY). I should have 2 great weeks. My meals are prepped for the week.

Im shooting for getting under 245. Every 5lbs seems to be a milestone in my mind with every 10 being a huge milestone.

Weekend was great. I mostly stayed away from my phone and spent time with my family. Only real misstep was we did go get Lit Pizza and a scoop of ice cream yesterday evening, but I wasn't very hungry so I only ate half of that pizza (and ate ice cream ofc). Tracked everything as best I can, met my macros by inhaling some protein before bed. We took some spring photos and my son was adamant about wanting some pizza, and my wife wanted the ice cream, so I just went with it and had a nice evening. Overall, things are proceeding as planned.

What are you eating when you eat? Up your fat and you should feel fuller with less. Try making a meatloaf or burgers with some good 80/20 and bacon. Boiled eggs for a quick snack.

You must be a walking stink bomb.

Are you taking out the yolks?

If not, what are you doing about the cholesterol?

Nope, in the absence of carbs, I don't get gassy from eggs. I would imagine most people are the same.

I eata the yolks. I don't worry about the cholesterol too much and believe the cholesterol in non cooked yolks are good for overall cholesterol numbers. So I eat the eggs sunny side up or soft boiled.

I take nattokinase to make sure I do not have clots.

Take a low dose statin, citrus bergamot, and krill oil for cholesterol.

I take k2 for plaque build up and when I go back to adding carbs I'll add in 100% pomegranate juice in high dose for plaque.

But in general I'm not a big believer in the whole, dietary cholesterol leads to bad cholesterol numbers. To me it's pretty clear from those that do keto that's its not true.

Cholesterol isn't a problem when you don't eat carbs. When first switching to a low carb diet, cholesterol goes up in the short terms and then decreases significantly for most people.
Triglycerides are the real number to track.

Been doing 12 oz 93/7 ground turkey/trinity/cauliflower rice and seasoned almonds on top. Hilarious that we're eating almost the same thing
