W2D1 Done, it was tough after a long weekend.

Also trying to up my daily steps to 12K. I’m barely making 10k most days, so I definitely need to put more effort into it.

Catching up. Wife's birthday was over the weekend.

W1D4 completed
This felt ok, not as intense as PS1 but still enjoyed it. Pretty quick day just about an hour including warmup. Was able to increase weight on the close grip bench and the zottman curl.

W2D1 completed
Felt pretty sluggish today after the holiday weekend and going out but was able to get through it. I end up doing banded face pulls in between the squat sets because I cool down between the warm up and the bench worksets. Shoulders were fried but always a good pump I tried barbell skullcrushers but my elbows still don't care for them so switched to DB's for the 20 rep sets. Took almost 90 minutes to get through the workout.

W2 D2 done in 1hr 15min. felt good in garage as rain yesterday still have it cooled relatively

I still hate deads but upped my weight load over what I have been doing for both trad's & snatch... so got that going for me

swamped 15 reps for 8 heavy on concentration curls & then did 21's for the barbell curls...

I went for a run last night and tweaked something in my calf. Felt like a sniper shot me. I had to walk all the way back home. It feels better today and I'm thinking deadlifts may hurt a bit, but I'm going to try and work through it.

W2D3 done.

Deads felt ok with my calf pain, but i toughed it out. I am nervous about squats tomorrow. I may have to wait until Thursday to knock out leg day.

I've been sweating my arse off with no power for 2 days and counting. Eye went directly over us. Gym got power this evening. So figured if I'm going to be sweating, minus well get a workout in!

W1D3

Everything felt pretty good. Overall it was a quick workout. Squats were a little tough. I'm leaning towards fatigue and dehydration from cleaning up debris.

Deadlifts went fine. Finally able to increase weight on the pullovers and concentration curls. Didn’t get to conditioning today, so will do some hiit work tomorrow.

Joined the rest of the plebs with no power at the gym this morning. Conversations caused the workout to run long, but I didn't mind since it was in the AC.

Only weak spot this morning was the last set of DB shrugs. My grip in my oeft hand was just shot by that point. I pushed myself on just about everything today and really enjoyed it.

I'm going to take the day off tomorrow and start W2 on 7/12.

Quick question for yall.

I've only ever used free weights. Going on vacation in a couple weeks and my cousin said he give me a guest pass to Planet Fitness when he goes during the week. They do not have a rack and free weights to use for Bench/Squat/Deadlift. They only have smith machines. Anything I should know about or be prepared for when using a smith machine?

You might have to adjust your form. Since the bar is on a fixed path play around with your setup.

*Edit - well play around with your setup and form if you need to. Personally I can bench fine on a smith machine but find my barbell squat form doesn't translate as well.

Your bench should feel weird. It forces you into bad form. Bench form should be a controlled arc from sternum to nose.

Although, when I had to train at PF one of them had a smith machine that was at a slight angle. Was a little better

W2 D3 done.

I ran 4 miles this am so didn't get to this til late this afternoon. I'm a morning or mid day weights guy it's always harder for me to get to them if I don't then.

Anyway got it done. Felt good mostly, squats no problem really. The last superset of RDL's & shrugs was brutal though as just out of gas.

On to D4 tomorrow - Cheers

Nice burn throughout most of the workout today. Worst of it was the band pull aparts. I do those with hands palm up, shoulder width apart. Start with hands about nose height and drop down to chest height as I go out. By about the 17th rep, shoulders are on fire.

Squat was relatively easy. Most of bench was easy. OHP got easier when I focused more. Skullcrushers were behind pull aparts regarding the burn.

Knocked this one out yesterday morning. Deadlifts felt great! The top set (2@85%) was 25# off my actual 1RM from Deadcember '23. I know I could've beat it, but sticking to the plan and not rush it.

Bumped up weights on the rest of todays plan. With the exception of the last set of concentration curls and heavy BB curls everything was smooth.

Heading to Baton Rouge for a couple days to bring my daughter to an LSU camp. Anyone know a decent gym with day passes? I'd like to get W2D3&4 knocked out while in town.

W3 D1 done today during early lunch, took about 1hr 10 mins.

felt good through most of it superset raises near end was killer.

think my next investment in garage gym will be a dip adaptor to my rack. I'm doing bench dips whenever called for now....

cheers

Felt great until the Delt blast. 4 sets of 25 reps of DB side raises superset with band pull aparts kicked my arse. Shoulders were burning.

Really enjoying the plan tho. Gonna get another one when this is done
