Jose did you hear about the new gym opening on MLK?

I did not!

I may have to check it out! I have had enough of the Workout Co.

The morning crew is only slightly better than the afternoon crew.

I just googled it and it says it is in Houma Crossing. Thats where the Hobby Lobby is. I wonder what old store it is going into?

Their website says they will have childcare options. I was just talking to my wife about that last night. What will our workout schedule when the baby comes in a few months

It's going to be in the old Ulta I think. Next door to Conn's appliance store.

Good luck with that. That's the number one reason I've been working out in my garage for the last 7-8 years. But I'm about to join a gym because I want to do more leg work.

I hate going to the gym. I can't wait to have a home gym when I get more space.

I hate the crowd there.

20 even with just the bar would have it lit up

YES! First set I used 65 lbs and it wasn't too bad. Second set used 65 also and had to bail after 18. Third set I dropped it to 55 and was glad I did. No shame in just having those two 5 lb plates on there!

Same. I did just the bar for the 17 today. Did 10s for 2nd set and went 20s for the 3rd set. Shoulder felt ok for it.

Don’t do it bruh

I made a shitty Covid home gym and didn’t get anything done until I went back to the real gym when it opened back. If they don’t got chicks there I’m not getting anything done

There's nothing to look at at my current gym anyways.

The 17 wasn't as bad as I was expecting. I liked it overall. I only did 100 each of bi and tri though.

Maybe because I haven't done deadlifts in over two months. the 17 reps of deadlifts whipped me out.

That definitely had me breathing. I think all the leg work in DB had my legs stronger than they were last time I was deadlifting. Really felt light. I did go a few % down to get my even weights though. For the 17 I was at 135.

Any of you guys ever run superset-remastered? Thinking about running it after Strongville.

I ran superset remastered following strongville. It is the big 3 lifts , 3 times a week supersetted with various others, then a 4th exercise and "cardio" I think chins or pulls are in each day too.

My DL, bench, chins and squat all got stronger. The workouts take around 1hr 15min on average, and you push 90 percent by week 4.

If ur up for more heavy work it's great, it's a bit easier than strongville.

RFESS doesn’t get easy but it will make your squats easy.

You are very right. Yesterday during the 17.7.6 workout I notice those heavy squats were a little easy even after never doing them in a while.

W2D3 Jacked Up Joker

Squats weren't bad at all. A nice % to push at but not struggle with. 10x10 rows and 25x4 hammer curls...that was another story. I hadn't done hammer curls before and was WAY off on the correct DB.

So far my favorite thing about DB Strength is the Day 2 lunges. For the 1st 3 sets of 6 it takes me about halfway across the gym. Then, while I'm resting after my 3rd set a nice looking gal sits down at the leg extension machine. Guess where that last set of 12 takes me? All the way to right in front of her. So now I look like a weirdo trying to show off my lunges.
