My wife was told by her Ortho that she should no longer run due to problems in her foot from Rheumatoid Arthritis, and should instead do less-direct-impact stuff such as swimming and biking.

I ordered her a Peloton, but I'm wondering if I should get a rower to compliment the Peloton.

Anyone have both and find that they are a good compliment, or find that you use one moreso than the other?

We're both in our early 30s, money isn't an issue, and neither would be used as expensive clothes hangers if that counts, but don't want to get the rower if the Peloton covers most of the cardio spectrum that she gets from running.

I have a rower, Echo Bike and Concept2 bike erg. All will give you different types of muscle stimulus. The bike erg is similar to the Peloton in that it’s only legs. The rower involves more muscles, primarily legs if you’re doing it correctly, but also back/upper body. I liken it to doing a power clean.

At my office gym, we have a rower and two spin bikes. Everyone uses the rower while the bikes collect dust.

What’s your location? I can sell you a peloton on the cheap. It just wasn’t my jam, sticking to the garage gym, rowing and running.

I actually already purchased a Peloton Bike +, but I appreciate the offer. I'm probably going to order the Concept 2 rower soon as well.

I have a rower, peloton type bike, and treadmill. I use them all depending on the type of workout I am about to do. I almost take out using the legs doing a rower so my upper body gets a good warmup and use bike for leg day.

We own a Peloton bike and have for 4 plus years. Wife and I use regularly. Great cardio work.

A rower is a great piece of low impact exercise equipment. One of the best actually.
