I usually don’t post here but I thought I’d recommend something important (IMO). Everyone no matter the statistics needs to have a yearly physical. It’s preventive medicine. Odds are something might be wrong but it can be fixed. As easy as a medicine or just Tylenol. Don’t be too manly I’m fine vibe. Heart attacks can happen even if you think your healthy. This applies to getting a colonoscopy too. Your insurance will pay for it. For you and everyone around you. Pin please.

especially once you get in your 30's. Need to have full blood panel done including full hormone workup.

It's shocking the number of people that don't. I've been getting annual physicals since I was at least 30, if not before that. I'm considerable older than that now. Nothing manly about dropping dead at 35 of an undiagnosed heart condition (or dozens of other things) that could have been spotted and treated through routine preventative medicine.

Waiting on my results as we speak. Want to make it a routine thing to get comprehensive panel done and decided to start this year in my early 30's. Of course I am the type who expects to hear the worst and make myself miserable while I wait. I don't feel bad at but I just get very nervous with this type of thing. I keep telling myself that if something is wrong, it was wrong already and this is the first step to treating it at least.

Yes, but a round of testing is a snapshot in time - don’t make too many assumptions without subsequent tests

I'm 40 and have alot of anxiety when it comes to doctors and needles. Can't stand getting my blood taken and my BP is always a little high as a result.

Where do y’all go? Primary Care Physician? What if you never go to the doctor and don’t have one?

Do I just need to pick one or are there lab type places where I can have tests run?

It’s why married men on average live longer than single men. Wives make sure they see a doctor once a year.

Just pick one and make a new patient appointment. Theyll put in lab orders and tell you where to go to get your blood pulled. I usually go to Quest diagnostics on the Saturday morning after I see my doctor to get my lab work done.
