Dewpoint of 76 here. Atrocious.

Do you recommend them? I like the features because of the support.
For sure. I’ve had a pair of Features before but prefer the Balegas (more form fitting for me and they are cooler with just as much support imo). Cheaper also.

Swiftwick Aspire. Never had a blister. Very thin and breathable. Decent support and work well for someone like me who can soak through a shoe in a 10k. Had one pair have a thread come loose and I emailed them and they sent a brand new pair no questions asked. It's a little thing, but for 15+ bucks a pair, it's nice to know they stand behind them.

I may order a pair of those and another pair of Features as well just to check em out.
Anybody have tips on avoiding cramping or in race nutrition solutions? I’m a little paranoid that my quad cramped up at the end of my run. Never happened to me before. Did some stretching and rolling post run but now it’s in my head. I had a banana immediately after my run and it subsided, but that could have been just because I was done running.

I run in Balegas, love them
Good thing my run tomorrow isn’t as long as normal, this Arkansas game has me drinking already

Hell yeah. Consistent splits. Almost home.

I want to thank everyone that suggested using tape on long runs. So far I've completed two 6 mile runs without bleeding and looking forward to my 13 mile run tomorrow morning with no fear.
Today's run was just over 6 miles at an 8:47 pace, much faster than I anticipated. Still dealing with my slowest mile being my first. I guess that is good but I would like to start below 9min/mile.

I think a slower first mile is pretty typical
I wouldn’t be concerned about that

Being slow in the 1st mile on training runs is pretty common. Most people don’t warm up sufficiently for training runs, so they use that 1st mile as to get going.
In races, the adrenaline of the start will take care of that.

I'm done. Not sure if I can drive myself home.

That is a pretty brutal day. I saw your activity on Strava and was wondering wtf you were doing today.

17 miles this morning. Hurt like hell but I got em.
10:49 pace. Too fast for my slow arse but I’m only 9 miles away from a full marathon.
Two months to go.

LSD run this morning. Started 8:30 finished 7:15.
This is what the week looked like.

Today was my first run at a half marathon distance. Got in under 1:55 and the run had an overall elevation of 500 feet. Since my goal was to finish under 2 hours I am extremely happy with the result.
Best mile was #7 (8:15), worst was #12 (9:26).

That’s a fantastic time for first completion if that distance. In a race you’d be a few minutes faster than that even.
Got in 14 this morning. Rained on me the last 5 miles. 7:36 pace overall.
This was my last easy week. Have two more long runs and then a 21 day taper down to race day!

Looks like everyone is having a good finish to the week which is awesome considering the weather has been kinda garbage.
