919. Didn't have a mileage goal for the year. I'll aim for more than last year which was 1388 and I'm on track to eclipse that.

What’s everyone’s total miles looking like for the year ?

I was hoping to equal or beat last year's total of 1,300 miles. Right now I'm at 665 so it will take a lot to get there. That said if I can remain injury free I should get past 1k for the year.

Two more 5ks, a 15k, and a 10 miler race to go before winter weather comes to town.

486 mi run
585 mi bike

Trying to get to 1000 mi run by year end…might be doable once the weather cools off a bit

Having a kid in March really threw a wrench in my training schedule… who’d have thought?

1425 so far. Only able to run 35 for month of July with this runners knee I can’t get rid of. Goal I guess is 3000 but will be a challenge now.

Damn that’s impressive nola.

On a side note I was gifted a garmin fenix 6 sapphire this weekend (had the 245 music) And it’s so badass. I haven’t figured it all out yet and may not for a while

677. I was shooting for 1200 for the year but had to back off a bit so I don’t know if I’ll make it.

About to hit 400. Three months of dealing with injuries was a killer but ultimately worth it. Fitness is coming back finally.

3 up, ladder k workout 1-3-2-3-1, 3 down. Not a completely failed workout, but I didn’t hit my paces. Good enough for the weather. It was frickin gross.

Edit: went to check the weather equivalency and the wet bulb temp was 87 stupid

Workout for the morning:

15min warm up
3x1mi @ 103-106% progressing, 2min between.
5' jog
2x1mi @ 105 & 107% GMP
15 min cool down

A little over 8 miles. Humid as hell. Shortened the cool down because I was late getting home to get ready for work.

Anyone have any advice for stretching/warming up? I feel so stiff when I first start running and don't feel loose until a couple of miles in. I want to be able to feel loose right out of the gate.

I do some dynamic stretching during my warm up but maybe I need to stretch out more and spend more time warming up and stretching since I am not flexible at all.

My run this morning was 1 hour and 50 minutes of running at an 8:55 pace. Got 12.6 miles in.

Try to go super early in the morning or evening. If it’s a midday peak of the heat run i usually only go 3-4.

14 this morning, bit of a slog

Did try something new today. Stopped at several bottle fill stations and put water on head, back, arms. Seemed to help cool off quite a bit
