Do y'all have a favorite running hat? My LSU Dri-fit cap has seen better days, need suggestions

I like my Outdoor Research hat that Polar Pop suggested a while back. I use it for more than just running too.

My AC compressor went out. I'm going to have to replace the entire unit today. Normally, this would have been a "good excuse" to skip my run, but I went ahead an knocked out a nice workout this morning, including some hill repeats and short speed intervals. No more excuses for me.

My unit went out yesterday an hour before I got on the road for vacation
It’s going to be fun getting someone to repair it while I’m gone for 10 days.

Damn, man. Always seems to happen during the hottest freaking week of the season too.

Happens to all of us. Just tuck it back in and keep running.

Only 81 degrees right now here in Las Vegas. About to go do my weekly long run.

Might as well enjoy it because temperatures are supposed to the mid 110s, as high as 116, this week. I might just run at night for my mid week runs.

Good God, man. That sounds awful haha. It was 85 when I ran this morning with heat index of about 93. Plenty hot for me

I could only do 5.5 miles with a break in middle this morning. My shin splints that lasted for a few months earlier this year really put me out of shape…

Today's Run: LINK

Goal was to run 40 minutes at a pace between 8:56 and 9:56 and my average pace was 9:12 in the running sections and 10:00 if you count the warm up/cool down. That first mile was brutal because I ran at Red Rock Canyon and the route I took, the first mile had 300 feet of elevation gain and I could barely keep the pace under 10 minutes. After that first mile I decided to turn around and no longer deal with the uphill and it was much easier.

I’d pay money for only 300’ of elevation gain.

Recovery run today. Put in 10.5 with a 10:50 pace, average HR 143, and a gain of 500’. Felt ok. Ran my farthest distance in my Altras to date. These zero drops really work my calves. Hoping the shoes and I both will be broken in next week or so.

Just got back from the most humid run I think I’ve ever done. A mile in it felt literally like I was running through water, or some kind of Solid-liquid state Like a damn bungee was holding me back. Holy shite

My base is getting where I want it now. Time to start getting more serious with my training this week.
