Green I guess. I’m just .39 from pink though. I think it’s like Scientology, the next level unveils Zenu’s true form or some shite.

“180 steps, what? No! I was watching some dudes race. Yeah I counted, 180. Everyone should run 180 steps per minute, even during their recovery runs. Why? Cause I frickin said so, that’s why.” - Jack Daniels

My run coach does too. While I'm not on your level, I got frustrated with injuries and lack of progress. My dude is a run coach and a licensed PT. I'm a VDOT 37.2. I didn't even realize that was a scoring/ranking system until you posted it.

You change it by entering in a race time. My current plan is building mileage. I hit 30 miles a week this week and think I maintain that for a while before getting into the speed work. My goal is 7 min miles in the 5/10K. I feel that is very reasonable at almost 50.

I tried to register for the Gulf Coast but it is paused....

If anyone local can get info, I'll be happy to register and build it into my plan.

Man, you guys got me wanting to do Gulf Coast now, but I’ve got Stennis (26.2) on 11/28 and The Great Scorpion Trail Race (50k) on 1/9 on my plan. Not sure I can fit another marathon in on 12/12, but I’m gonna have some FOMO for sure.

6 miles tonight. Woke up with some hip soreness, but I think the couch just did me wrong overnight. Hoping that’s what it is.

Hulk, I’m enjoying the MMF screenshots. Keep em coming! In the sea of strava, it’s good to see another MMF’er

I’m the local. They’re waiting to open registration for obvious reasons. Sit tight though.

Anyone getting tired of their at home running routes yet?

Ummm, yeah. I got nothing but boring arse subdivisions and no shouldered roads, etc.

JBR - Just realized who you are on Strava and yeah you're a beast in the Burt/ks/"committed" hogbody vein. Glad to see you in the thread. You're brave doing a TT in these conditions.

ks - Man, that sucks about BW135 and what you're dealing with.

Burt - You're a nut and I love it, never change Bro, never change. I was a 52 VDOT at my peak when using Daniels 2Q plan last Summer before.. well, ya know.. I got derailed.

I was gifted a pair of N% for my Anniversary today and took them out for a couple @ 10K effort, after cycling 16 miles. Damn, they are like a responsive cloud. Took a little getting used to, even after racing in the 4% for the last year +. Never thought I'd say this, but I prefer the VW upper to the FK. What a superior shoe. Now just need some damn races!

You can plug the Gulf Coast 1/2 into your training plan. Boom.

Would love to, depending on work as usual. Definitely in for Northshore in October and will be training for the LA Full in Jan, so could definitely squeeze a Half in around that time.

Who's in for the whole enchilada?

10/11-Northshore 1/2
11/28-Stennis
12/12-MS Gulf Coast
1/17-Louisiana
2/27-MS Blues
3/7-Rock n Roll NO
3/27-Bay St. Louis 1/2
4/3-Crescent City Classic 10k
4/?-Hattiesburg 1/2 (probably 4/10, but not set, yet)

Not me. But I expect to make at least three 1/2's and maybe the full MS Gulf Coast.

ETA: I realized I'm already signed up for Rock n Roll (1/2), Bay St. Louis and Hattiesburg.

Are those all halfs and fulls? Hard pass, I’m the most durable runner I know and there’s no way I survive that race schedule.

The ones not designated 1/2's are both fulls and halfs.

Stagger them.

I think I've made a huge mistake. Coach's plan just came through. He's going to train me like I'm a beginner. Cut my miles in half and my workouts are hill repeats and strides. Holy shite. So much for the summer build eh guys?
