Getting some serious pain near my pinky toe. Outside of my left foot. Can’t tell what’s going on. May need to take a few days off unfortunately. Hate it because I’m making such great progress right now.

Hopefully not, but it could be a stress fracture.

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking it is. Problem is, I really would prefer to stay out of doctors offices right now. I’ll rest a few days and then go from there. Terrible time for this shite.

Most races are cancelled for the foreseeable future so probably a good time to take some time off. Or you can tape it up and push through. At least that is what the old school guys will suggest lol.

Yeah that’s what my thinking is. I’m supposed to run a half in May. Likely to be canceled. Rest up and get ready for marathon training.

I bought the Garmin Forerunner 35. I don’t like the square/rectangle shape but couldn’t pass it up for $90. I’ll be on Strava this weekend!

How's everyone acclimating to the heat?

May be a rekindling soon. We’re looking at doing a virtual Crescent City Classic/time trial next week sometime.

Like a bar of chocolate acclimates to being in a front jeans pocket.

I'm trying to stay as hydrated as possible.

Still not hot here yet. I probably have another 6 weeks before that happens. My Spring finally got here.

It’s great purchase for under 100 bucks. The new charger is much more durable that the forerunner I had several years ago, and if holds a charge longer.

Times are predictably a little slower, but otherwise pretty good. I need to remember to be better about hydrating during the day.

I have the next month to complete a 19k virtual run. The one plus of these virtual runs is that I can pick a day with the best weather.

Slow 5 in 43:14 today (8:39/mile pace). First day running since the 21st. Felt good to get back out there!

Benchmark 15k (actually 9.36) in 1:23/8:55. 75F and overcast. Great running weather.

There are more people walking, biking, and running through town than I've ever seen before. I'm glad to see it.

so since all of our races have been canceled and virtual runs are the rage right now, what does everyone think about doing a TD virtual 5k or 10k?

I'd say we could do it this weekend but the weather looks like poo, so might wait for a better weekend

Anyone else crosstrain here? I’m looking to get a bike and wanted to know what y’all considered when adding it to your running plan.

I lift weights, but I consider that part of my running training rather than cross training.

Occasionally, I will do a HITT training video to supplement my anaerobic fitness. That’s the only thing I do that I really consider cross training. When I get in gear, I run 6 days a week and lift 5, so I don’t really have time for much cross training or really need it.
