thought you had betrayed us.

his strava follow is pretty nuts. he gets more elevation in a run than i get in a month and i do a lot more hills than most of you guys.

Anyone try the new Power Beats Pro? Still need a Father’s Day gift and thinking about picking these up. My Airpods are great but the battery just isn’t what it used to be and wanting something with a little better sound.

Had a pair of power beats. Died after 3 months due to sweat I assume. Will never spend more than 30 bucks on workout headphones again.

I really like my Jabra elite 65t wireless buds. Really comfortable. Last 5 hours, and the case holds an additional 10.

Y’all on Strava check out Brad Quin’s (Horseshoe Bay, TX.) weekly mileage. 185 a week, a Marathon a day.

I respect the miles but if you're not doing it to improve but just miles for miles sake, what's the point?

Not sure what his goal/motivation was. I was curious myself. No real rhyme or reason.

Interesting. That’s about an hour from me. I’m impressed because Marble Falls is a terrible running town. It really looks like he just runs routes on repeats.

I follow Pete Kostelnick on Strava. He’s an animal - cracked the 10k mile mark in 2018

I just don’t have the time for that. If I could probably be at 1k if I consistently wake up at 4:30 AM, maybe.

I don’t give Burt grief because he’s got no kids. I just can’t imagine having that much leisure time.

I assume he lives off his sponsor money. I could log a lot more miles if I didn’t have to go to a day job.

But if you were both in a race together, you've got a pretty good shot of whipping his arse pretty good. It kind of drives me mad that someone can take all that effort to get miles like that and not put just a little more in and do it quickly. Being able to do that many and not have your body break down is a gift from god. Just feels wasted.

I guess I'm just really frustrated with our country's running culture and how we lag behind every other country when it comes to competitive running because we'd rather show someone we walk/jogged 50 miles for insta and the likes.

Mother Nature doing good work this am in South La. About the best we can ask for in late June I’d say.

I think a lot of people have different goals. He’s won Badwater a couple of times and holds the course record. Also has the record for Fastest run across the US. All those miles help him do that. Prob not worried about improving his 5k time though.

There’s this really nice hippy granola homeschool mother of 8 I’ve met on a few group trail runs. Great lady and follow her on Strava. She usually runs about 20ish a week at 9:00+ pace.

Seems like a hobby jogger.

Then she goes and busts out a 100 mile race at Transrockies and gets 2nd female.

10 days later she ran Franklin Mountains 100k and won female. She has numerous top 10 finishes OA and a few wins.

Every one of us could beat her in any race under a marathon, but she’ll outlast us all.

I prefer long and slow these days. 5k or 10k is brutal for me lol.
