Y’all are the track school. I’m trying to represent A&M but it’s a weak showing.

Got in some good work today. Burt has me thinking I can hit 1:25:xx for my half in 4.5 weeks

Strava comment had me rolling.

Lotta tough good workouts today. That wind wasn’t fricking around either so know that even if you didn’t do your fastest, it was a quality workout.

You just wait, I'll join the group and rep LSU once I'm in shape. I'll show you Aggie and pig bastards, just give me a few months of hobbling

Man, it was windy as hell today. The sun tricked me into wearing shortsleeves, only to freeze my balls off.

Yes indeed! I picked the wrong day for tempo. It was brutal. I wore long sleeves which I rarely do, so that was good at least. Definitely more taxing than it should have been.

I turn 38 tomorrow, so taking the day off from pounding the pavement in lieu of homemade Mexican food at my Mom’s. Pushing 40, sure wish I woulda caught this bug 10 years ago! Masters class on deck. Ouch

Any of you Strava Summit Baws use the goals feature? Obviously you can set a weekly mileage goal, but I also like the yearly goal feature. It will tell you how far ahead (or behind) pace you are to hitting the goal and adjusts after every run.

No, but that sounds pretty cool, being able to measure how far off you may be.

I don’t think I’ll use it because if I was behind, I don’t want to hurt myself catching up. I have no self control.

Well, that's certainly depressing. I was holding out hope you were an in your prime 25.

Oh yeah, I can see that happening. I set it for 1200 and am currently 16 ahead, but that could slip away with the quickness.

Nah man. Your running peaks at 35 then you start to lose fitness but at a very slow rate.

Also, damnit, set 2200 goal. Thanks.

What brand of watches are you guys running with? I run with a Garmin, and find that the Garmin Connect app and website has most all of the same features for free.

ETA: Full disclaimer... I am a paying Strava Summit member

Old assed Garmin 220 with a chest strap monitor. Very old, very accurate.

ETA

Strava is more user friendly and the Gamin site is very buggy.

I use Polar. Has a few of the same features of Summit as well, but not all. Or at least I haven't dug through the website enough to find out.
