Welp, I spent the money. Searched the 4%and they were on sale for $139.99. Figured what the hell, why not. Sure I can sell them for that if I dont like them. And If I do like them, they are my race shoes through the summer.

Google shopping. Said it ended in like 30 minutes, so hurry. I think the specific site was soldier nine shop . Com. I used PayPal for a little protection if it's a scam.

Hmmm, I’m seeing colorways on that site that I’ve never seen before. As far as I know, the only true current model VF 4%’s are the red/orange color and the blue that came out recently. Looks kinda sketch to me, although I hope not. Which ones did you get?

Yeah, I totally bought these while on the can. Every site looks crappy on the phone. These are probably super fake shoes now that I look at them on my laptop . Or factory seconds at best. I'll just touch base with paypal to get a refund....

Windy as hell out there today. Bright side of strong winds is they don’t shift so I got a true tail wind, and it was amazing. Legs were sore as hell from the hills but not tired.

I'll be by there tomorrow afternoon. Didn't feel like fighting the traffic to get across town today. How was the Expo?

Quick and easy for me. If you can park close to the river instead of in a parking garage it'll save you some walking. You go straight in, find your bib number on a wall and go to the booth for your number.

Gotcha. I have my # already. Trying to figure out the best place to come in/park Sunday am. Gonna just grab my medal and gtfo after the race so I can make my way to N.O.

Coming in from Prairieville. I’m thinking I’ll just come in on Nicholson and park somewhere along the river to not be barricaded in by the race course. Thinking all of the out of towners will be coming in on I-10.

Y’all guys have fun this weekend.

I’m excited to see how cowboys Tommy and Jim do in Houston this week. Would love for those dudes to start making some splashes in the street marathon world.

Thanks man; always a blast!

Yeah, I agree. Not sure if Jim will make the podium as I read he thinks he’ll be around 64 mins but others in the race will be sub 60. World class field. He may make trials though.
Pulling for Rivs too!

Gotta imagine Rivs makes 2:19 so long as he has a decent day. Will be interesting to see the results for sure

Looks like the 5K and Quarter were cancelled today. That sucks; they were both sold out.

Weird. Why? Thunder? Every single event I've ever done is rain or shine unless there is lightning.

Yep. They waited as long as possible in hopes we could dodge that band of storms coming through. Just didn't work out. They had to turn people away as they were warming up. Oh well, it happens.

ETA: on a positive note I ran a hard mile around downtown and had no knee pain at all. First time in a few years I can say that

Lightning.

Literally the only 2 hours of bad weather all week are forecasted from 8-10:00. Races were to start @ 8:00. Crazy.
