I worked out about 45 minutes ago and I bought some protein online. Brother is telling me I waited too long to take the protein and you have to take it at the gym immediately after working out. Is this true, is there a window that I need to be drinking this? So much easier to take it once I’m home.

IIRC there is data to support protein consumption within ~60 minutes after exercise.

Patently false and here’s just one quick google search meta-analysis on the matter.

Ignore the advice of anyone who tells you protein timing around a workout matters. They know shite about shite.

i just posted in the other thread, you need to slow the frick down and stop worrying about stupid stuff. Right now you are fat and have never worked out.

Get your diet in order so you are no longer fat
Follow simple easy program
Get strong as frick while getting shredded
frick wife on balcony at the beach

that should be your goals for next 6 months. Keep it simple!!!

Nutrient timing is very low on the totem pole of what matters, but if you were concerned about it then carbs are the macro most affected by timing. Focus on hitting calorie and macro goals first. If you want to split hairs then eat carbs before and after you train

Eta: and yeah frick your wife on the balcony at the beach. Solid advice
