Just got mine tested for the first time twice last week. Total was 288 then 408.
Im 38, whats the likelihood my urologist will start TRT?

Depends on the doc. First results they would, 2nd results would be a coin toss.
Would I start? Absolutely

I want to. If the doc decides not to, do I have any other options? or should I try to convince him to start me?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I’d say find a testosterone clinic that specializes in HRT

do I have any other options?

Waiting for more labs but noticed that my hematocrit is right up against high @49.5. I think this means I may need to donate blood?
Estradiol is 23 which seems good. LH <.2
Waiting on total and free test.

I wouldn’t fret too much about donating yet.
Unfortunately I can’t donate my blood to someone who needs it since I contracted Hepatitis A while overseas many years ago (despite vaccination)
Btw, I’m about 5 months in my TRT, would anyone know if my body would stop making sperm at this point. Having more kids isn’t an option for me.

I’m often confused by this also.
I’ve wanted to start TRT but we want more kids so I’m putting it off.

More than likely but you can still get someone pregnant while on, it’s just harder and more rare. You can get tested to see.
As far as having kids and starting trt, I always feel you should wait until after kids because it does affect sperm count and quality

Any of you started TRT in your early 30s?
Would anyone advise against it? Thinking about going see if my test is low enough to start.

i did. i advise waiting as long as possible but if you are miserable, have very low T and are done having kids...then have at it. but just understand constant shots after years and years sucks.

Just adding to the thread because the thread has helped me a lot.
When I first got tested I was at 388. I injected 150 once a week. About 6 weeks in, I went in to get retested and was at 1250ish. And that was on a Friday - I always inject on Saturday so it had been 5-6 days since injecting.
They talked about maybe lowering me a little because 1250 was pretty high to be near the next scheduled injection but they kept it the same for now.
I'm 37. And am now on Week 10 I believe. The only negative so far has been a small amount of breaking out in the chest area but it's not that bad. That started just recently.

I wish my number was that high.
I feel great after my last bloodwork and it’s at 677, will be going from 160-180 mg/ml once a week.
So far I haven’t noticed any acne anywhere or any other negative side effect. Just my overall focus and attention to detail have improved

How do you feel with those numbers? Lil high but if your others labs are in check and you feel good. Roll it.
I keep my total around 1500 lately. I never felt really good until I got my free T in upper range, which required a higher total.

I just turned 40 and am convinced I've needed it for at least the last 7 or 8 years, but I just haven't been able to bring myself to taking a shot once or twice a week for the rest of my life. It's also not cheap.

Free t is 567. Estradiol 23.
I feel pretty good. I feel like I still struggle a little with focus but it’s definitely made me want to have sex every minute of the day.

With goodrx it’s only like 40 a month if insurance doesn’t cover
