My advice
Eat less, move more
No such thing as " bad" or "good" foods.
If you want to lose weight- consume less calories than you put out, if you want to gain, eat more than you put out
IIFYM is the best diet approach

It's hard to resist a late night snack but you have to be disciplined. I stop eating at 8pm each night and don't eat again until 12 the next day.
The weekends are easy for me because I can actually wake up then head to the gym for 1030 and get a good workout in and break my fast around 1230.
It sounds way harder than what it is. Once you try it for 2 weeks it gets easier to stick to your plan. I do occasionally cheat for breakfast maybe once a month when I drive by a breakfast spot on the way to work. I feel bad about it but sometimes you have to give in

You don't have to train fasted but it most definitely speeds up the process. After you do it for a little while your brain and body become adjusted to it and you actually get more energy in the morning.
To help out you can also drink black coffee or any 0 calorie energy drinks to help curb your appetite.
As bad as it sounds cigarettes and dip also help to fight hunger pains during fasted hours. I do 16/8 and most of my fast is when I'm sleeping. So if you can survive from the time you wake up til about noon you can do it.
If you feel like shite after going at it for a week then IF may not be for you.

whatever works for you, but time doesnt matter.
I eat 50% of my calories after 5pm due to my schedule. At the end of the day all that matters is how many calories you consumed vs how many you burned.

If you suck it up a couple days you get used to it and it becomes easy. It is hard the first few days though.
And I don't work out fasted. When I am doing it, I eat a small meal at 3pm, small pre workout meal with the family at 6 with about 75g carbs then workout 8-10 and eat a huge meal after that then shower, bed. On non workout days my biggest meal is at 3pm, small meals after that, very little carbs those days.

Same. I say I do IF because technically I do, but I do it by accident really. I just don't like breakfast. But you'd be shocked how many people can't go without it. And you have to mention it when discussing diet with others because not eating breakfast eliminates 300+ calories from your day. That makes a difference.
Plus, there's the old "breakfast is the most important meal of the day" motto that cereal companies created and it somehow started getting taken as fact.

Nothing better for your body than stuffing sugar and simple carbs into it immediately after waking up and sitting at a desk the next 8 hours

My brother eats crap loads of fast-food every day and is skinny as hell. I wouldn't want to look like that.

I've been doing it from 1:30-9:30, a few days I've started at 2

What we're y'all doing before? I don't think I've eaten breakfast everyday since highschool. When I have its usually like go to waffle House with my dad twice a year or when family is all together for a Holliday or something. I can count on 1 hand how many times I've had breakfast in the last 12 months.
I usually eat lunch between 12:30 and 1 and dinner between 8 and 8:30. So I guess I have been doing IF for some time?
It was a pretty massive change for me as I've always subscribed to the "eat lots of small meals throughout the day" mantra. I used to eat breakfast at 4:45 before heading the gym and would have snacks, shakes, meals, etc throughout the day. Now I don't workout until 11 in the morning and eat after. I then eat my last meal around 6 or so.
Huge change for me and definitely a big fan.

I am always starving in the morning so IF was tough. I'd typically wake up hungry, but a big cup of coffee would normally curb my appetite.

Do you find it cheaper now? I already sometimes get a little crazy in the grocery store and I don't even buy any snacks or extra meals.

Not really. The only macro that shows an increase in metabolic rate is protein. Calories burned are 95% on activity level and Basal Metabolic Rate.

But the type of flexible dieting you do will not allow most to get ripped, no matter how strict they are.
Staying ripped isn't sustainable for most people. Even most bodybuilders and muscular actors don't stay ripped year round.

Technically true.
But, spiking your insulin levels based on carbs, for instance, IS schedule dependent based on when you sleep. You want to spike certain hormones before certain activities.
