Question is how do you do it?

You just do, finally got back to my morning runs today since I have been battling a cold and I am so glad that I did it. Pace was terrible but that endorphin rush and mental clarity is so worth it.

I’m up at 4:30. Drink pre workout (I use Transparent Labs Bulk Black) at the gym by 5:00

I wouldn’t be able to do this without a pre workout or coffee etc

Once you do it for a while you get used to it

I could never workout in afternoon or night again.

16 years. Usually up at 4am and train 6 days a week, 1 to 1 1/2 hour sessions. Black coffee, 2 rice cakes with honey, 1 banana

It took me a while too in order to build it up since I had some horrible shin splints but you just have to stick with it.

Once you get used to it it is the greatest thing to have your workout in the books by 7am. I was in the Marines for 5 years so I didn't really have a choice. Now I still chose early mornings.

I do the same thing now that I did then (30 years ago), I tell myself if I can just make my feet hit the floor I got it. Once I stand up out of bed I am good. I don't think about how will I possibly be lifting or running in 20 minutes. I only think about standing on two feet. It takes a little bit more to get awake and warmed up. My gym is 8 floors up and I take the stairs instead of the elevator. That is sort of my wakeup to get the blood flowing.

Nice bonus is on days I go through the trouble of prepping my food and clothes the night before, waking up at 4am, getting it in, I don't really want to ruin my diet the rest of the day. I usually stick to the plan.
