Any of ya'll have any experience with a mild hernia that required laparoscopic repair? How long until you could get back in the gym?

If memory serves, a mesh repair is basically at 100% strength within a week or two but you won't likely feel physically able to lift heavy for at least a month or two.

But as far as easing back into the gym, IMO two weeks after surgery you can start getting light exercise again.

I had it done last year. I had mine done with the robot and with Mesh.

Day 1 a lot of pain
Day 2 little to no pain
Day 3 walking normally no pain
2 weeks started lite exercise
2 or 3 months before I felt comfortable doing strenuous exercises
3 - 6 months full go but still would feel discomfort occasionally if I strained to hard.

Listen to you body and take it slow.

I got diagnosed with a couple of them inguinal.

That was years ago and I didn’t get them fixed. I can sometimes discern when lifting heavy but they don’t bother me enough to get them fixed.

I’ve been told that I have one and sometimes I think I can feel it. Probably will not worry about it until it gets worse.
