My wife started a new business and looking at getting her the pre cooked meals from one of the meal prep services.

Anyone have any experience with any of those?

I was looking at trifecta, clean eats, and fresh n lean.

Anyone have experience with these or similar?

I guess it'd work for your wife, but I know people that have used just about every single one of them, and it's just never enough food. I'm not even a big guy and I'd have to eat at least 4 a day to get enough. At that point you are talking about $35 a day minimum on food and probably more like $45.

All the ones you listed are pretty much as advertised, but they aren't cheap. You may can find a local person on Facebook or something that runs one out of their house to save a few bucks. I know there at least used to be a few in Baton Rouge like that and while still not cheap they were much more cost effective than the big guys.

I hate when people don't answer the question of the OP, but meal prep really isn't that bad. I know you're busy, but if you can find an hour one or twice a week and a couple of minutes to warm up a steam able bag of vegetables your wallet will thank you bigly. I personally just can't make myself spend that kind of scratch for those. I spend in a month what less than a week costs for those services.

Yea they have local services too I man try.

Really just looking at options. What I am prolly going to do is just do it myself. I have every other Friday off and will prolly just use that time to prep.

If you don't find any thing that pleases you another option with a minor amount of work but still saves a lot of time is to go to some place like Whole Foods and get catered food. Put your meals into your own containers however you want. Freeze some, throw some in the fridge, and you'll have your meal prep done.

I use Metabolic Meals and have for years when things get busy, great food and excellent macros.

I skip weeks when I have time to cook every meal, but the breakfasts alone are worth it during our busier weeks.

My brother uses one. He seems to like it. Food looks good from pics he’s sent.

Depending on where you're located, you may want to see if there's someone local that does meal prep and than can taylor it to your liking.... vegan, keto, etc.

They come in microwave containers, individual meals. We enjoy them; I usually add salt to most meals and a bit of hot sauce to most of the breakfasts

My coworker swears by hello fresh but he also wears a helmet to check the mail in case he falls so take it for what it's worth.

I know a chef in BR who has started doing meal preps for people since his restaurant shut down due to covid. I'm sure there are others doing the same thing.

Icon is pretty solid. Have used them a few times

ETA: and it’s in Dallas so food comes overnight. They always have a free shipping code for like $80+ spent

We did Sensible Meals. I got the double protein option for the extra calories. It's too expensive to be long term but the food was ok and I dropped the lbs I wanted to drop.

I like thechickenpound.

Grilled chicken breast chunks/nuggets, come in 1lb packs (2 8oz servings individually vacuum packed)

Bunch of different flavors to pick from and all super clean.

Pair the chicken with leftovers or a frozen pack of vegetables/rice like the Green Giant Simply Steamers from Walmart.

Makes for a super quick and healthy meal that can last a lot longer in the freezer than your typical meal services.
