Marathon on Keto

Did the LA Marathon yesterday 2 weeks into Keto and I gotta say it felt really good. Wasn’t a PR(did it with my dad to qualify him for Boston, which he beat his QT by 11minutes), but I felt very little need to ever seek fuel seeing as how my body was in Keytosis. After mile 5 I was just running and having fun, something I haven’t really experienced in a marathon before.

Me either. I wasn't having fun at the end of the half. I sure as hell wouldn't have had any fun doing another 13.

Congrats! I've done a few marathons (official and training) in ketosis and it's great. I'm too old and crotchety to go fast anyway so I love the steady fuel and predictable (insert gross rhyme word).

Been on Keto before. Ran the LA full January 19 but was not on Keto. First 18 miles were not bad. Last 8 - different story.
