I’d go to a real doctor this time.

When I flex my back, the lower left side isn't as tight as the lower right side, which is a sign of muscle imbalance. ok fine. What the frick is going on beyond that? It's making workouts impossible and I can barely move sometimes.
I hear you, but are you 100% sure it isn't spinal/disc?

I dunno. Suitcase carry? Workouts that work the spinal muscles?

Not sure what you want to hear, but you should get checked out. It’s your back.

I don't know but I have absolutely no pain in my legs or butt, It is concentrated to the left of my spine

I did have some problems with the other side of my back when I was compensating and overusing the other side.

Doesn't sound like this to me. You probably have weak core stability. I'd get that fixed first. Get an xray or mri. Kinda hard to diagnose you on a message board

Go to an orthopedist to see what’s wrong. Typically, they’ll refer you to PT after they try and talk you into surgery. PT never did anything for my bulging disks in my back.

Find you a routine that targets your hips, lower back, and core. For me, the Knees Over Toes program did that. The Seated Good Morning that they recommended has been a life changer for me. Not only is it fixed my back problems, it is fixing my stiff hip issue.

Most PTs don’t load up the spine enough. It’s slowly changing though. If you walk into the clinic and don’t see a squat rack, barbell, or heavy kettlebells, find a better clinic.

The original injury has long healed, the chiro was probably a quack who “saw the muscles move on an X-ray”

As other have said you got load up the surrounding musculature, and live a fitness forward lifestyle
