I have worked out for the past 8-9 years. No newbie... but every year i work out/diet jan-august, and then take a break sept-dec. So its that time of year again, and I would like to change it up. I was just doing splits 4 days a week. And would like to try out some full body workouts. I will be 37 this year, and all the heavy weights and extra work with splits on upperbody have put a wear on my shoulder recently. If anyone has any full body workout detailed routines for 3-4 days a week i would really appreciate it. Just looking to cut fat, and tone up, not bulk. Thanks

I started swimming laps in June. Dropped 28 pounds and have developed definition. Great core workout and cardio.

5/3/1 seems like it would be perfect for you.

Ask 777 or use this calculator:

5/3/1 calculator

You can add on accessories (arms, etc.) to that base. 5/3/1 is basically designed for your situation.

Does lsu777 still provide access to his Google drive? Was looking at athleanx.com and figured he probably had the workouts on his drive

Good luck.

I'll just add that the cutting fat and toning up is more diet based than lifting.

5/3/1 is designed to basically give you 4 days a week to gradually build your bench, ohp, squat and dead. The general template will usually give you a day focused on each lift and then an antagonist.

It's a good program for people who've been lifting for a bit because the focus is starting on the low end and building gradually over time. If the shoulder gives you issues, you can do things like trade out bench for incline bench.
