ATG knees over toes program
can I just google this to get the program? I'm not against it, I've just never heard of it before.

He said it sounds like a meniscus tear. Use a knee brace when lifting, NSAIDs before my workout, and ice it down after. If it isn't better in 2-3 weeks then get an MRI.

MRI would be the only way to verify if this is the actual issue. Depending on your age this is mostly just a annoying problem that you could tolerate. As you age it can become a bigger issue on down the road. It boils down to risk versus reward and what do you expect out of quality of life as you age. The procedure to repair a torn meniscus is minimally invasive (out patient) and down time could range from 1-3 weeks. Best of luck

best thing he could do is build up the strength around the knee so that it essentially fixing this problem.

I am not a workout expert, especially when it comes to weight lifting. But, I will add this...
It may not be serious enough to warrant a doctor now, but do you really want to push it to the point at you need to see one ASAP. You most likely will not need to stop how you are working out or how much weight you use, but I think it would make sense to get an appointment for a doctor to do an exam and possibly MRI. That way you can know exactly what it is and adjust your workout accordingly (if at all). If it's nothing, you can do a few more stretches and mobility exercises before you work out. If it's a muscle or ligament issue; the fix could be as simple as building strength in complimenting areas.
Best example I can give is I know I have runner's knee (patella tendon issues) in my right knee. When it acts up, I know what stretches to do and what muscle groups I need to focus on strengthening to manage the problem.

I'll be doing the warm up and stretching you posted before my next squat day.

you should still get a MRI though, always good to know, for sure, what you are dealing with. But do research on the atg knees over toes system and the success they have had.
what i posted is the start.
