You can’t try to refocus, you have to refocus... good luck and keep fighting.

Learn from sports psychology. The best three-point shooter in NBA history missed more three point shots than he made. The key to sports psychology is clearing the missed shot from your head immediately so that it doesn't affect the next shot. If you let it get into your head for even a minute you will impair your focus and confidence leading to more errors.

You simply have to decide how you want to live. Be honest with yourself. If you get the envie for some catfish and beer once in a while, so what? Just understand what is unhealthy about it and how it affects you. Don't let guilt or focus on "weakness" drive you into a truly unhealthy spiral. Wipe the slate clean and move on. An occasional craving for something unhealthy won't kill you, so don't let it get in your head.

But don't make a conscious effort to set aside a day for the express purpose of eating crap. That is a dishonest way of living and it undermines your decision, if you decision is to live healthy.

Been back going hard in paint..err...gym. Down back to my lowest weight. Started new gym regiment. Seeing results.

Good advice. Let it go and moved forward.

Keep your head up every one.

Had an a1c of 8.5 back in October which is considered diabetic. Cut it to 5.7 by February by cutting out the sugar, mainly energy drinks. Pretty much reversed the diabetes.

Intermittent fasting has helped a ton. Follow Dr. Jason Fung on Twitter and YouTube. He’s the man when it comes to type 2 diabetes.

That is awesome! Congrats! Really highlights the inaccuracy of the trope of sugar being "empty calories".

What did your doc actually say to you? Surprised?

Thats badass, man. I lost 54# since January maintaining usually <20gm carbs a day. I’ve cut my ace inhibitor dose in half and BP still running 110/70. I plan to get off of it in next month or 2. I wasn’t diabetic yet but trending that way... latest fasting blood glucose was 70.

He called me the day he got my test results in and told me that was the biggest drop he’s personally seen anyone have. Said awesome work and keep it up.

Pretty easy to do when the alternative is kidney failure, heart disease, etc.
