I'd get a tub of both casein and whey and use them at different times of the day to hit your protein goals.

I had no idea what the difference between the two was. Thanks!

If you’re sticking with powder over pre-made shakes get this brand but coco-pebbles. It’s the best ever mixed with milk. Fruity pebbles version is my favorite.

Yesterday I looked in the mirror and thought for the first time 'You look bigger". I weigh myself every Thursday after my morning constitutional to be consistent with my weekly weigh ins during my weight loss journey. Took some measurements for the first time since I started this thread almost 2 weeks ago. Gained 10mm in circumference on the left bicep and 8mm on the right. Gained 30mm around my chest. Lost 12mm around my waist. Gained 1.1lbs over that time period. With the natural fluctuations in weight it's hard to say if that's a true 1lbs gain in muscle mass or just natural weight fluctuations but the tape measure doesn't lie I've gotten bigger when I want to get bigger and smaller where I want to get smaller. I wasn't sure what to expect on the tape measure after the first 2 weeks but I've been happy with the gains. I've added 5lbs to my workout so far in that timeframe. I've got 70lbs of plates to go with my dumbbells and I will soon need to go up in weight. Not sure if I should just buy a set of heavier dumbbells or splurge on adjustable or just get some more plates. I have 2 handle sets but honestly I don't really love spinning collars to adjust the weights. I don't really have enough plates to keep the two sets at different weights. 4 5 or 10lbs plates might be the cheapest option though.

Congrats. If you're really trying to go cheap you could buy some bands to add resistance to the dumbbells. But I would just buy some rings
