I’d say at least 80% of the fitness people on instagram are “enhanced”, yet they still promote that they got the way that they are from a little protein and creatine. Oh and don’t forget the Aminos.

Then folks call them out about it and they are quick to deny it. Huge amounts of false advertising going on. For example, my goal is to look like Bradley Martyn. I’m sure if I spend $300 on all the worthless supps, and eat 3,000 cals a day I’ll be there in no time

In my opinion the women are even worse than most of the men. Agree the majority are also enhanced, but some of the filtering and photos altering is over the top.

There are some legitimate voices out there but unfortunately they generally are much quieter and smaller in numbers than the bullshite artist. Ignorant gen pop falls for the bullshite hook, line and sinker.

It’s like everything else. Everyone just wants to make a buck. There are legitimate people out there, but you have to look hard.

You’ve got it right.

“Influencer marketing” is a lot more about the influencer and a lot less about the product.
The “fitness” industry has taken this to a whole nother level

Coath Blaha is cleaning up the industry one video at a time. The bcaa lobby just killed his dog in an attempt to silence him.

When I was a teenager I bought Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Bodybuilding Encyclipedia and wondered why I never could look like that. He forgot to mention the steroids in Chapter 1. It could’ve just been all the pizza though.

So should I hold off ordering a lifetime supply of Visalus and Shakeology?

You do realize before Instagram was something really archaic called a magazine? Those cover photos and articles within have been Photoshopped for decades.
