As if the universe is laughing at me, my son lost a whole arse 45lb bumper plate. How the shite does that even happen? I even looked outside and down the driveway.

We looked everywhere. He swears that he just set it off the bar, which makes sense. Why would you take it anywhere else? I’m now running through wild theories, like someone broke in and stole a single plate. All while stepping over at least 20 things worth more.

That is mysterious and kinda scary. I'm sure it'll turn up eventually. Is it possible it rolled away? Seriously. I've seen tires, wheels, balls, lots of different round-ish, roll-y type things travel unbelievable distances, so why not a bumper. Either that or be on the lookout for a suspiciously jacked racoon in your neighborhood and don't be throwing out old creatine or pre-workout in the trash, that's how you get em started.

We checked in the yard, even walked down into the woods across the road. This is crazy. What sucks is Titan doesn’t sell those bumpers anymore so I’ll probably have to buy a new set. The older bumper is about a 1/4” wider than my other plates. Which was nice because you didn’t need a deadlift jack or roll it up on a 2.5lb plate

I did Pen and Paper for a long time but got bored. Then went to push/pull/legs. Then did the Juggernaut program. Back to push/pull/legs. On week 3 of Rambod's FST-7 program which I like. Going to do at least 8 weeks.

man good ole FST-7, the pump you get from that is crazy
and man all of us are just doing this for fun, to be healthier and to look better...if you get bored switch it up like TKE is.

You sound like me. I hop around a bunch. I make progress, just not as much as I would if I did literally anything else.
I settled on Pyramid by Alexander Bromley. It’s a low frequency plan. Wave loading program.
W1 top 5, then a variation for 3x5, variation for 3x8. Two accessories for 3x15
W2 top 3 then a variation for 3x5, variation for 3x8. Two accessories for 4x12
W3 top 1 then a variation for 3x5, variation for 3x8. Two accessories for 5x10
Next block increase TM and repeat above. I’ll add rear delt work that’s not programmed

Sign up for some sort of event that will push your training in a new direction and require you to develop new skills.
I’ve done this repeatedly and it lets me go on 6-12 month training adventures where I’m learning new aspects of fitness. Most of the time I also hire a coach to help me out.
By the time I get to the point of boredom, I’m onto my next thing.
Examples I’ve done:
- Ultramarathon training (started at zero running)
- Hyrox (Currently doing this)
- Mountaineering (Climbed Mount Rainier, Grand Teton, etc)
Bump. I searched Hyrox and got this. How hard is this/What kind of shape or training would I need to do? Did you go through with it and how did it go? Thx. Also, that's some bad arse stuff you've gotten into.

Yes, that will help my neck
But seriously, thanks for the suggestion. All I needed was a change of scenery and equipment.
