Somebody call the wambulance. This just kicked my arse. I should have just done more squats today. Hopefully, I will be better in a couple of weeks. Any other haters of cardio trekking through the swampiness today?

Baby powder the thighs to avoid chaffing
Slow cardio after weights to start off with to get used to doing both

I wear compressions under my shorts, so chaffing is not an issue. I
may do your other suggestion though.

Body Glide. Really shouldn't be an issue at 2 miles, although sweating in the summer can be brutal. But I damned near cover my whole body in Body Glide for long runs depending on what I wear.

2.1 miles at an amazingly slow pace. I started last month and I can’t stop thinking about how fast I was 25 years ago compared to today. I’m so out of shape the heat doesn’t bother me, im too focused on trying to catch my breath.

Anything over 1 mile is an issue to my health. I could die at any time.

Could you walk 3 miles under 45 minutes?

Right around 10. Same thing today. It was hot. Bring it on though. This shite will make me better.

I run either 1.5 or 2.25 miles a few times a week at 6:30 and the humidity even kills me then.

The heat will suck the life/energy right out of you during this time of the year. If possible, shute for an earlier time or even 7 or 8 pm instead. It wouldn’t be as difficult for you most likely.

If I tried to run a measly 2 mile run, but in the middle of a sunny, humid day in summer, I honestly think I would die of a heat stroke.

And I am saying this as I am on pace to run my goal of 1000 miles this calendar year.

The heat and humidity is just too intense in the middle of the day. It's bad enough running late at night or early in the AM.

I work late nights so early morning and late evening won’t cut it. I’ll survive. I’ve done harder. It’s just been a minute.

I was in the best shape of my life endurance wise at the end of April. Went on vacation for a week and didn't do anything, then took a week off after getting back home due to huge workload. I haven't gotten back into it since. The heat really kicked up right at that time. 2 weeks earlier I did an Ironman, but at that time running an hour at 8:30 am on a Saturday was killing me. It only got worse and I decided to pack it in until the fall. Plan on easy 30 min every day on the treadmill soon, but any real outdoor distance stuff is done. I've got no goals to drive me to torture myself like that. I'm gonna get so fat.
