12 week program. I am 2 days in and doing Alarm 4(highest Alarm Level). Day 1 wasn't so bad but Day 2 kicked my arse today with the jump roping and cardio exercises.

I'll let you know how it goes in case any of you have wanted to drop the money on Jeff's programs.

Start Weight 170.4 / 13.6% body fat

You’re already thin. Are you trying to look emaciated?

He was the Mets personal trainer for years. I know some people don’t like him because of his click baity titles but he knows way more then most of these fitness youtubers when it comes to things like injury prevention and proper form.

I've been watching his videos for a while, its clear he knows his shite. Especially when it comes to form and diet. I've watched a lot of lifting videos on YouTube, and so many people(even those with hundreds of thousands of views and describers) don't know what they are talking about. And its funny how Jeff will call these people out. He won't use their name directly, but its clear who he is talking about.

I want to get shredded, and each time I have tried in the past, it seems like all I do is spin my wheels because while I get to lower body fat, it seems like I take my muscle along with it and am right back to where I started. I'm trying this program as something new, hoping to be able to get shredded while keeping the muscle I have worked to gain.

He's not my favorite YouTube fitness channel, but his advice is legit. He has a solid background and all his stuff is based in actual science and knowledge. It isn't selling snake oil like six pack shortcuts or vshreds.

My biggest criticism is his videos have a lot of form instruction and exercises, but less in terms of programming and progressive overload. Form and exercises are important, but proper programming and progressive overload are a big point a lot of people fail.

I get that he doesn't do that bc he sells programs and he doesn't want to cut the heart out of his income there.

Do you get access to all his programs or just the one you specifically pay for?

ETA: I saw where it's just the one you pay for.

Using my phone as a stopwatch. I watch the instruction videos before I start and do a rep or two so I know how the movement is done

Today was the 3rd day and each one has been about 30 minutes, not counting the optional ab work afterward which tacks on another 5-7 minutes. They have all been cardio based circuits. Day 1 and 3 were more bodyweight fitness circuits, Day 2 was jump rope and cardio based.

I'm not following it, yet. His diets are no measuring, no counting, no macros, none of that, just eat with intuition

The reason I am not on his diet yet is because I buy my food in bulk, and still have a lot of food I need to eat through. With that, I am eating at a -500 deficit each day with macros of 170 P / 45 F / 228 C. I supplement with 5-6g of Creatine, a post workout protein shake and a casein shake before I go to bed.

When I eat through the food I have, not sure if I will jump on the diet. The diet gives out a lot of breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and snacks, and recipes to make them, but again I buy my food in bulk so I am more make 10 of one meal and eat it over the next 10 days. His diet plan is different foods each day which is not bulk purchase friendly because stuff will spoil before you can eat it all.

Some of the recipes are good ideas, but a lot stuff I have generally done in the past. Each recipe also comes with a "shred swap", where you can alter the recipe to make it better tailored for losing weight, i.e. a recipe for a burrito bowl, the shred swap takes out the rice. But at 15% BF or below he recommends only one shred swap per day.

I didn't buy this program for the meal plans, I bought it for the actual workout program. There are some new recipes in the meal plan I haven't tried before that I will try, but for the most part I think for now I will stick to what I was doing.

Here is a sample day of eating from the diet plan. I've already been doing my own versions of the pumpkin oatmeal, burrito bowl and pasta/meatballs before I bought this program.

Breakfast - Pumpkin Spice Oatmeal: Whole Oats, Canned Pumpkin, Vanilla Extract, Cinnamon, Walnuts, Almond Milk, Maple Syrup. SHRED SWAP - No Walnuts

Snack - Protein Shake

Lunch - Burrito Bowl with Shredded Lean Pork or Beef, Pinto Beans, Lettuce, Fat Free Cheddar, Brown Rice. SHRED SWAP - No Cheese or Rice

Snack - Lowfat Cottage Cheese with Berries

Dinner - 90% Lean Meatballs, Whole Wheat Pasta, Tomato Sauce, Spinach, Grated Mozzerella. SHRED SWAP - Chicken Breast instead of 90% Lean Beef

Snack - Air Popped Popcorn with Cinnamon Sugar, Glass of Skim Milk

So I started this because I was looking for something different than insanity or p90x. The workout videos will take some getting used to for me. They aren’t really workout videos, he just shows you the move and then moves on to the next one. They need to develop an app in my opinion. The meal plan is would take a good bit of planning if you followed it to a T. I’m just going to follow it as best as I can and see how it goes. My wife generally cooks pretty healthy meals at dinner that I use for lunch so that helps me
