Their brand named for word that has nothing to do with spin biking. They attacking very good Australian YouTube cycling tech reviewer, because it's a big corporate $ making scheme, not about fitness or quality.

Can you show us on a doll where the Peloton bike touched you cause you seem really upset about the bike for some reason.

It does not have a power meter or able to change resistance or gears like a proper modern Smart Trainer. It has some nice commercials though.

And it costs more than every other bike trainer that does everything better, but are not back by big $ corporate advert interests.

Hey Lance Armstrong, you do realize it’s a fricking spin bike?

And yes you can change resistance.

With your hand, and it doesn't give you data of how hard your pedaling, react to changes in virtual terrain, or able to calculate your calories burned like a premium unit should.

Any spin bike I’ve used....you change resistance with your hand.It gives you your output(a reflection of your cadence and resistance). Shows you how many calories you have burned.

Again....it is a spin bike. Not a bike trainer.Maybe you should take some spin classes and see what they really are.

A spin class is not cycling training.

ETA: You sounds like the type of guy that is why people outside the cycling world think cyclists are major tools.

Spin bikes are fine but Peloton marketing their unit as like its the best unit anywhere. It is at best second rate to Wahoo Kickr, Tacx Neo, Cycleops Hammer units. All theses companys second rate units better than peloton but don't have TV advert budget.

They are marketing themselves as the best in home spin bike with an attached screen with online classes you can compete against one another in. Not as a bike trainer.

It’s not a bike trainer. It’s a spin bike. Maybe loosen up the spandex a bit and quit comparing a spin bike to a bike trainer.

I bet you have never even taken classes on a Peloton bike. You are spouting all this gibberish and don’t even know what you are talking about.

It’s actually sad to see you in here trying so hard to justify your $$$$ purchase when it’s an inferior product. The cyclocross dude is trying to prevent other suckers from purchasing a bike that does absolutely nothing but make fat homemakers and nurses feel like they are special.

They are marketing themselves as big giant corporation that knows nothing about real fitness. Using big Wall Street $ to fund their inferior mass marker commercials.

I know—I love the C2. I also love the idea of the monitor of the Nordic track.

God you are an idiot. They market as best in class. I have put my hands on plenty of commercial spin bikes, peloton is right up there.

It's not a damn bike trainer, it's a commercial spin bike.

So does the bike trainers you have about have a screen? Do they offer classes by some of the best instructors in the world? Do they have on demand classes? Do they focus on fitness or weight loss like peloton does? Do they have leader boards you can compare your self to right on the screen on the board? Do they have it where you can see where you are compared to your peers for a particular class in real time?

If not STFU, peloton does all of that.

Quit making me defend something I would never personally own. In other words quit being a jackass.

If you came in and said a bike trainer is better for fitness and explained why or that you think peloton is overpriced, fine. But no you have to attack it because of the price without even acknowledging how much it can do and why people rave about it. But nope had to be a douchebag just like every other cyclist known to man.

To be fair, I have a dedicated monitor on a stand stand for my trainer that I paid 150 bucks for. And for 15 bucks a month I can get all of that stuff above. Custom plans based on my power abilities, group training, racing peers, etc. Not trying to knock peleton, but it does nothing that a traditional trainer can do. And some of the traditional trainers do have more bells and whistles.

Because it is not a trainer...it is a spin bike.

Two totally different things.

In a world where obesity is growing at an alarming rate, why hate on a company that offers a product that helps create a healthier population? All companies want to make money...need to make money.

I get if the bike was harmful or a health risk, but we are just discussing preference. Enjoy what you do and let people enjoy what they do. Not everyone has to travel the same path to success. Stop trying to make people feel bad about their purchase.

I meant to say it does nothing that a traditional trainer can't do. Not trying to argue that someone should get a regular trainer over a peloton. Just addressing that you can do everything he listed out about peloton on a traditional trainer. The platform to do so has existed for some time and there is plenty of expert training, group training, social interaction, etc.

Only in the way you use them. You're spinning cranks, that's it.
