So I've been trying to bulk for the last month, and the gains have been coming but slowly. One thing I struggle with is eating breakfast. I usually don't get hungry for about an hour after I wake up, and when I try to eat quickly in the morning I just can't seem to stomach much.

I feel like I'm missing out on some calories. Should I just drink a shake in the morning, and wait till my mid morning snack? Any tips?

I make a shake in the morning and chug it. I find that easier than eating a big breakfast.

If you're not hungry in the morning don't eat, add calories to your lunch or bring a snack for the afternoon.

Your body doesn't need nutrients every 3-6 hours nor will it break down muscle just because you skipped breakfast.

If you just want pure calories an easy way to get them is to just add a bit of fat. Put a tablespoon of coconut oil in your shake and boom, 100 calories. Eat a couple tablespoons of peanut butter and you got another 200 calories. Doesn't take up much room in the stomach but gets you some extra calories.

I wake up and drink 16 ounces of water immediately after getting out of bed. Believe it or not, but it sort of suppresses my appetite

Read about this in Men's Health (yes, again). It's a great weight loss tip. If you drink a big glass of water before every meal you will "trick" your stomach into being full faster. The explanation they used was that when you eat a lot at once, you feel it the most after you've been done eating for a while.

This way, the water is taking up the space in your stomach which is why you feel fuller faster. I used to do it when I was losing weight and it seemed to work for me.

I usually workout at night, after I get off work around 6.

Your schedule is perfect if you want to skip breakfast. Get something in around lunch or the early afternoon and eat as much as you want or what's left of your calories right after your workout till you go to sleep.

I workout around 4-5 everyday and don't eat my first meal until around 2pm (IF). You can still bulk, just fill the calories in somewhere else

Fasted walking in the morning. Sounds counter productive buts it's not. Go read doggcrapp training and why he makes everyone do morning walks.

Eat small quantities of high calorie food.

You won't get full but you'll optimize the amount you are eating.

I get *4,000+ calories a day without eating breakfast. Just depends on your eating schedule. I only have 2 meals a day plus a snack before bed. I lift in the morning at 5am. I'm bulking too. You just have to add more calories through your other meals.

*4,000 clean calories.

ETA: the "snack" could be considered another meal TBH. It's pretty heavy to get the calories
