Research seems to show 20-30g protein is the most that can be absorbed in a single meal.
So post workout I should only be taking x1 25g protein scoop of whey? Been taking x2 post workout so just wondering if I should adjust.

Different studies show different results.
Get 40-50g to make sure you get all your body needs.

Read The 4 Hour Body by Tim Ferris. You can be just fine eating one meal a day. Optimal might be 40g at a time, but most people don’t need to be optimal unless they’re competing.

Dont think your body is going to say “welp. Thats 30g. Lets not worry about the rest. “
Hit daily goal regardless of protein per sitting.
Most people eat what their digestive system can handle.
Ive eaten 230g within a 2-3 hour window with no issues whatsoever.
Timing and optimal only matters to the top 2% in my opinion. If your a competitor then focus on the nuances of timing and portions. Otherwise eat however allows you to hit daily goals.

There’s plenty of research that shows it varies. Obviously it depends from person to person. How big that person is (% and total amount of lean muscle mass) seems to play a part as well. I’ve seen anything from 20 up to 50g per meal. There’s also some support for intermittent fasting in which they get all their protein in 1-2 meals.
Mike Israetel’s video on it and how you could estimate how much works for you
But basically there’s no exact number or answer to it

20g of protein at a time sounds like some sort of communist propaganda

Try to get 40-50g per meal and you’ll be fine

yea no it doesnt. it says it takes about that to maximize muscle protein sysnthesis. that doesnt mean extra protein is just wasted.
