The OP can't have fun without drinking. Nothing we say will help him. He already has it in his mind he is drinking all weekend and will still lose body fat and get huge gains.

i was a moderate drinker. 8-10 beers friday and saturday. I quit a few months ago and instantly lost 5 pounds and i have much more energy especially during cardio. I also started cooking meals instead of eating out and lost an additional few lbs.

Most people don't do their due diligence about the quality control procedures at the breweries who make the beer they are drinking. I learned the hard way. I did the research and switched to a beer made with high quality standards and lost 14 pounds in 2 months. Didn't reduce the amount of beer, but quality is everything.

I don't drink any more than 3-4 for every hour working out of high quality standards beer.

one of my greatest pleasures/indulgences is a beer after a 50 minute swim, or after mowing. a nice double IPA.
