Isn't that the Castro bar?

I'd actually look at the B&R 2.0 bar or the Chan bar over the Ohio bar. The no center knurl wouldn't be the best for squats. The Chan bar looks the best for an all purpose bar IMO.

no the bare steel ohio is just the ohio bar with no coating. Feels amazing. And as far as no center knurl, atleast for me, I would never go back to squating with center knurl again. I have no problem holding the bar on my back even with no shirt in the middle of summer in the garage. But i do have a problem now with my texas power bar kind of poking me with its sharp knurl.

the most I would do would be a passive center knurl. But both the bars you suggested are bad arse too.

LINK

btw they have both raw and stainless ohio bars in the boneyard with now and a 2.0 bar in raw. any of those would be my choice.

yea the regular ohio is an all purpose bar good for olympic lifts and regular lifts. ohio power bar is simply a power bar good for the basic lifts. honestly though the only reason I wouldnt do the power bar for power cleans is only because of aggressive knurl.

you could also look into one of the raw OLY WL bar they have in the boneyard. It will be a bad arse all around bar if you arent lifting massive amounts of weights, but it will require a lot more maintenance.

I think the boneyard is only 50 less than the regular. I would get the new bar and have that lifetime warranty.

yea if your worried about that absolutely. Im pretty careful with my stuff so I dont worry about it. Have a separate bar for anything like pin pulls etc.

And the risk of double tracking knurling where you place your hands would be annoying.

Ok I think I'm going with the rogue regular ohio bar, titan t3 power rack. Now I need to find some weights and an adjustable bench.

I would actually look into a flat bench. I was in the same boat as you and just HAD to have an adjustable. I use my flat bench way more. However, if you just have to have an adjustable, look into used as a good one is very expensive. Do not get a cheap adjustable. Mine is a Hoist and got it for 120.

Also try to get the deeper rack. I have the R3 and the weights on the rack are sometimes in the way. I don't need them there because I have a weight tree but I do like them nearby.

I like to do incline bench and military presses, which is the reason for the adjustable bench. I know they are more likely to break but just don't think a flat bench will cut it......So are you saying the deep T3 titan, or the bigger T6 model (don't think I'm going to splurge on the rack, so not looking at rogue. Will spend that extra money on a rogue bar)

I think the Deep T3 would be good. The T6 is a good bit more expensive. The benefit of the T6 is plate storage and not having to bolt it down. If you bolt it down and have a separate weight tree, I don't see the need to upgrade.

As far as bolting it down, if you get some plywood and use carriage bolts, it will not move. That is what I did when I bolted it to my lifting platform.

Cool. Now I just have to wait for it to not be out of stock. They do have concrete anchors I could use as well

Titan sells the add on kits to go from a T3 to T6 if you ever wanted to upgrade your rack for plate storage. I was deciding between those 2 bars and ended up going with the Chan bar because of the passive center knurl. I also like that the knurling was spaced out more than a regular bar. I got mine from the boneyard. The only thing wrong with it was a scratch on the end of the sleeve near the shaft. I want to say it was around $100 cheaper but you don’t get the warranty.

I feel like I will be able to squat without the center knurl, but would be nice to have.

Anyone have thoughts on this rack?

Fitness Reality?? ??810XLT

Not really trying to be cheap on my rack, but the titan T3 has literally gone up $100 since yesterday, and it's out of stock anyway. Just looking at different options

Does the 24 inch length of the rogue R3 seem to be restrictive? Obviously the R4 is bigger but it is also much more expensive.
