Are you mentally deranged? What study or person has ever said they would 100% PREVENT transmission?
Are you too scientifically illiterate to understand the point is in reducing transmission by decreasing the size and load as a step in addition to distancing?
And there weren’t studies beforehand because the research wasn’t there because there hasn’t been a pandemic since the Spanish Flu.
Stop crying about wearing a mask while exercising. Hell, I’d send you a pulse Ox to prove to yourself you’re whining about nothing if I thought you could use it correctly.

My gym has a sign up that requires them but not enforced. It's posted strictly for liability purposes. Many members wear them but I don't and don't think any infections have been traced back

My gym in california is open outside only...and we still have to wear masks 
Doesn’t bother me too much though, you get used to it, I just don’t do cardio. For weights it’s not the end of the world, no sense bitching about it

When I was still working out at the East Jefferson Y, they made us wear the mask upon entering and leaving the facility (and they also requested wearing the mask in the locker room), but no masks required in the equipment area. Doesn't make sense to have to wear the mask where I was unlikely to run into any one, yet the mask isn't required where everyone is in a smaller space breathing heavily and sweating.
It wasn't a big deal, but I'm glad we built a gym in our office so I don't have to deal with it.

Local Y in Alabama asks you to wear masks as you walk through the facilities from point A to B, etc. Once you get to the weight room, for example, no mask required and only a couple of guys do wear one.

join a powerlifting gym. I 100% guarantee you won't be required to wear a mask. Seems like the commercial gyms are the ones who are strictest on it.

I workout at the JCC and they have this crap and strictly enforce it. I’ve just stopped going and have become a fat lump of shite. Thanks a lot, definitely looking out for my health.

Don't ask, training in masks is hell. After two of those workouts, I decided to train at home until the quarantine passed. But it's not going to pass. I don't know how people train with masks on.
