I’ve been on Allopurinol. Works.
If you’ve seriously tried lifestyle modification, like weight reduction, less alcohol, eliminating foods high in purines, you need to.
Nothing worse than gout pain.

I started taking an otc supplement called uric acid purge approximately 5 weeks ago.
I took 2 pills a day with meals as directed. Within a day or 2 it got rid of my "minor" (which was still significant) pain in my feet.
My right knee had crystallized uric acid which took about 4-5 weeks to subside, but pain is now COMPLETELY GONE in that knee.
I'm gonna switch to 1 pill a day to try to maintain being pain free. But if I even get a hint of pain returning, I'll go back to 2 a day.
This was a MIRACLE for me in regard to pain relief.

Are you taking hydrochlorothiazide for blood pressure as well? This medicine causes gout in a lot of people. Before you start taking a medine that you will have to take the rest of your life ( Alopurinol ), see if you can pinpoint the source of your Gout.

I take lisinopril for high BP.
But every physical I've gotten over the last 15 years since I went on lisinopril, my BP readings have been normal. Including my physical 2 days ago, with very minimal side effects (slightly scratchy throat once or twice when I first went on it).
I've had occasional gout attacks mostly in my feet for the last 10 years, but they would go away on their own after a few days until this year when it attacked my right knee, was extremely painful, and lasted for about 3 months until I started the uric acid purge pills.
I was taking 4-5 ibuprofen a day until I started the uric acid purge pills. And that has got me 99.8% pain free (extremely slight discomfort now) in my knee that was KILLING ME for about 10 weeks. With ZERO ibuprofen now.
