Yes. It's tough. It's easy in the first 5 or 6 sets, 7 and 8 are extremely tough and 9 and 10 are strangely easier. Massive pump. Didn't do it long enough for any progress report though.

Gonna put in 777's links to the books if I can find it or he provides it.

Hu_Flung or 777 or anyone... Looking at the spreadsheet for Greyskull. It has a set of 20+ Powerclean.

I haven't finished reading the book, so it may be explained in there, but is that really just 1 AMRAP set of whatever you can get up at least 20 times?

TIA

Greyskull is all 777 but I would think so. That's alot of power cleans though.

Yea looking at the spreadsheet, it's actually 4 sets of 20+. Gotta be a typo by the creator I'm assuming.

Typo, keep power cleans in the 2-6 rep range.

Really slow at work this week with the rain so I am writing a huge greyskull primer that will explain the whole program from start to finish. Will post it tomorrow then will start on 531, then D.C. Training.

Next week will try to get a diet primer and then the following a health and fitness board intro with links to everything

Shortcut to shred is a great program for cutting. It is a combo of lifting and circuits. Dropped about 15 lbs and kept most of the muscle.

Thinking about starting a clean bulk and doing the 531

I started the program a few days ago, but treating this week as a practice round so I can dial in my starting weights at those reps and order.

Still reading the Ebook a bit at a time, surprised at how many pages it was

I'll link it in the op to keep it together. I'm trying to have a catch all for info on all viable programs.

Bumped with lsu777's write up in OP. If you have any questions about GSLP specifically, go to that thread.

So I'm wanting to get into lifting again (lifted when I played sports several years back). I have access to dumbbells in our complex's minigym and machines/free weights at the Y. Is there a good plan to get me started back into lifting? It seems everything I come across is heavy lifting/male "bulking" dominated and having not lifted in several years I just want to get back into it since I enjoyed it in the past.

TIA.

Prolly the greyskull lp woman's program or the LCI program by greyskull would be good ones. Also strong curves LINK

Others to look at would be kinobody goddess program and scivation 12 weeks to best body ever.

But any system can be used for woman so long as it adaptable

Done it 4 times before. Been currently doing it for 5 weeks. My personal favorite program of all time. DOMS is for real. With any other program I stop getting muscle soreness after week 2, with this it constantly lingers. Also the way the program is set up its hard to hit a plateau as long as you are keeping a weight log. Your workout is over really fast even though you do a ton of sets and reps, that's the weird thing about it.

If you wanna see a pic of someone that only did GVT or as he called it back in the day "pump training", do a google image search of Serge Nubret. That man claimed that he never focused on lifting heavy just a lot.

What Is Crossfit?

That's a pretty good and accurate video for crossfit

This isnt the OT we dont make fun of crossfitters here.

What would you rather, some annoying little shite bragging about doing crossfit on facebook or some fat arse sucking off your tax money? Sure many of us don't agree with many of the ways they go about things but the original principles are sound. Crossfit is anything but prefect but it has done a ton for the fitness industry specifically the renewed interest in the basic barbell lifts and olyumpic lifts.

BTW not being a dick, i laughed at the video, but we don't people to feel unwelcomed on the H&F board. I have been guilty of it, but trying to keep it respectful for all types of health and fitness discussion.

Nah, it all depends on your coach/programming, and understanding that accessory work is up to you.

That wasn't my intention either, just crossfit is very dangerous. Figured telling people with humor is the best way.

The how to get your girlfriend to start lifting by him is pretty hilarious too.
