I feel like I could progress very quickly back up after I end the cut and eat at maintenance or above. I like the idea of 531 progressing slowly but I think it may be too slow since I'm starting with weights that are not normal to me and not training like I was before the cut.

I've had a similar experience, but I'm hoping it helps me at least maintain most of my strength while I cut.

However, it's a little frustrating to feel like some of my rep maxes are going down.

In your position I would run greyskull until you stall then switch to 531. I would say look at boring but strong challenge since you have done the bbb challenge.

I may just run 531 and say it's a lower submaximal training.

Technically with the way you set a training max off of your 1rm, you're supposed to start fairly low anyway. For me, I probably overestimated this based on PR's and not my current lower maxes of a few lifts. It's a little frustrating to only get an extra rep or two on the AMRAP set with a weight that I feel like I should be able to handle better.

Buy the damn forever book. So worth it. Your plan will work no problem. Could always run the first set last at a 5x5 and advance it faster if you wanted.

Anybody ever look at Mike Tuchscherer’s Reactive Training Systems?

Not doing it but just wondering.

I've decided to do 2suns 531 LP for a few weeks to get my numbers up quicker then run 531 BBB when my muscle memory comes back.

Added in a few programs and 2Suns. I like the layout of the 2Suns program for 531 and his own.

Also, take a look at 2Suns CAP3. It is also a 6 day per week workout.

I really like the look of the program as it is very well designed. But on the days he has triceps listed there are no tricep exercises, same with abs and even direct bicep work.

Am I missing somehting?
